I dont know anything about drums. I'm terrible but if I were better I feel like these bad boys would sound great lol. My son and his gf wanted this and he plays in addition to his guitar playing. I'm just the old timer guitar player in the household.

The drum that I bought seem great woods. The cymbals are kinds low tones and the plates of golds turn fade or become rust or green stain. The Remo toms are cheap because both side top and bottom are same films. No hitter or beater. Then I have to add Tom hitter heads all of its and ziljzian cymbals to add up too. So ya needs fix on tune from Tom heads

I bought this kit for a rock band camp I teach. It was definitely put through its paces by a number of students and then a professional drummer for 2 weeks straight. It held up remarkably well and had a great sound. I would definitely buy this kit again and would recommend it to o anyone looking to start off or needing a kit for performances.

Great set went together easy. Remo Heads. Tuned up produces nice sound. Cymbals are okay, definitely for the price but I swapped with better ones. Would not bother me to use as gig set if needed. Good quality. Just right as starter set and Bday present for my 7 year old. He loves it fits him with room to grow.

Well worth the little money I spent on it. The sound is phenomenal as well. All I did was buy new heads and a 20” crash w/ stand. He’s been banging on them every day for the past two months since I bought them. I hope he never stops playing them. Excellent drum set for the money.

I bought this drum set for my daughter for Christmas, this was her first choice on her list. She's beginning to sound like a professional drummer, as she spends a lot of time practicing. I got this set for my son for Christmas. He loves it an it sounds great. He will be able to play these for a long time a grow into them. The set looks very nice an is pretty easy to put together. Was happy with the way it was packed nice a neat in the boxes. An my son an I are very happy with these drums.

I recently purchased the Mapex Rebel 5 piece drum set from AMS online. They made the process extremely easy and the variety of products they offer is exceptional. I received my drum kit the next day via FedEx and was amazed at how quickly they filled and shipped out my order. My kit was packed perfectly in 2 separate boxes with full instructions on how to assemble along with phone numbers if I encountered any issues.
I am very pleased with my purchase and with AMS and will definitely purchase more equipment from this company!!

The Acoustics on this set sound phenomenal and the quality is great! This was for my 18yr who is an intermediate drummer and rarely does play a set straight out of the box without upgrading the drum heads and cymbals. However he played this set right out of the box with just tuning. Highly recommended,

Kudos to American Music Supply, Mapex, (and Fed - Ex). I
made a purchase shipping request for a Rebel starter set. It arrived within 48 hours cost-free, and without dents and dings.
I thought Norse Metal God "THOR" had struck, things
happened so fast.
Mapex sure did a nice job engineering this rythym unit. The hardware is quite solid, and the shell voicing matches nicely. The manufacturer assured a high degree of quality control, so I don't expect I'll have to use the five-year guarantee. ( Imagine changing vinyl 45's to keep the sound going for half a decade, wow).
Great drums, great price, great service.
