I’m loving this amp so far. The tone is awesome. I’m a big fan of its simplicity. It very easy to dial great tones. Previously I was playing on a Marshall MGDFX 30 watt solid state amp. This is a huge upgrade blows it out the water in every area.
I also love that it came with a footswitch.

Yeah, this amp is fun, fun, fun. I would like
a real Marshall fan to hear it and get their opinion
cuz this is my first Marshall.
I love playing this with my ARTcessaries A/B switch that
you can buy here and play it Fender 600 5 watt amp, both together.
Horrible reverb, but I heard real spring reverbs take
away from the Marshall style sound. It sparkles and sounds so good with my humbucker in the neck tele.
The footswitch is very solid.

this gets loud for 1 watt but its perfect for the bedroom or an apartment., you can play at whisper volume and still get the crunch and sizzle youre looking for., its great and beats out anything in this price range ., small compact little beast that rings that familiar sound :)

Awesome sounding tube amp. 1 watt and it will still rattle the windows if you want it to.
Hey, it’s a Marshall, don’t really need to say too much more! Quality all the way and has that classic Marshall look. Glad I bought it instead of using my half stack all the time.

Well this little amp is really good. All the features work as described and for a tube amp this size, it's loaded with them. It's all the volume you would need for practice (I could not yell over it cranked up). I wish they made this years ago. It really does get a lot of gain. I was surprised. You can get squealing harmonics very easily. And get pretty good clean too. Only caveat I saw was mine had a scratch in the silk screen print and the piping looked kinda crooked in one place, minor annoyances, but worth mentioning I guess. Overall a great amp. I will get a lot more use out of it than a big stack.

I just got mine today and I’m just blown away. I live in an apartment and needed an amp with an fix loop and reverb , I also wanted a valve/tube amp and this was pretty much the only one I could find that checked all the boxes. I had High hopes for it already but my expectations were exceeded ! It’s built very well and looks amazing it’s a premium product . It sounds just massive to my ears for its little size. AMS customer service is always top notch and delivery was on time .

Get that Marshall tube driven sound at tv volume. Great cleans even better crunch works best when you elevate it the 8” speaker just doesn’t do as well on the floor. It fits nicely on my coffee table and sounds amazing. I think a lot of the criticisms of this amp are from people using it at a great distance or to low much better as you elevate it.

This little amp is a beast. Great cleans--that "just on the edge of breakup" blues tone, then step on the channel footswitch for sonic mayhem! Super saturation at home volumes. I played with a singer with a PA last night and it was marvelous. Especially love the MP3 input, use it all the time. The amp's tone just inspires me to play more! You can play singing leads, chunky rhythms, and sing to it at home and be heard without a mic! Really! Solid build, all tube, Marshall growl, what more could you want? This thing sounds so great I'm thinking of getting the 20 watt version too for playing with a band. For a single/duo, this is the best amp I've come across. ROCK AND ROLL!

I am not very happy about the build quality. The Rolex covering was peeling and needed glued, the washers where the bolts are installed to hold the amp are bent/warped. I figure if I sent it back for a replacement something else might bug me on it. Besides all that the amp is great. The only downside is there is no gain control on the clean channel. The stock speaker does compliment the amp well. You can play this amp at tv volume and sounds good, but the real magic happens when you hook it up to an external cab. I run it to a genz benz gflex 2x12 and its awesome and a lot louder. I use English 81s for pickups. I can play 80s metal with ease. The tone controls are very responsive and has many good tonal variations! This thing is a beast with the 2x12. This blows away a bumbox 1watt marshall clone I used to have.

I put my Vox AC4 and my dSL5 up for sale within 2 hours of receiving the dSL1 . Every single thing about this amp is better than expected besides the speaker that will need an immediate replacement. This is the first DSL I have owned that I could dial in a true vintage Marshall sound. Take that with a grain of salt , it does not hold a candle to my JTM45 but 1/100th the cost. I would have paid much more if it had a half way decent speaker, but it is not even worth trying to sell.
