The nickel Retro Martin strings feel as smooth as electric guitar strings. Less squeaking like regular acoustic guitar strings. Play your acoustic guitar like your electric guitar, that’s what I do.

I’ve been playing on monel strings for years, can’t beat the warmth and tone when used on a mahogany guitar.
