Action comes a bit high but can easily be lowered to your perfect preference. Very comfortable to play hours on end and the sound this guitar produces is way louder than you may expect from a smaller body. Frets super nicely and is all around just a fantastic well quality built guitar to own

You bet…it’s a smaller decent more portable sounding electro acoustic instrument…I’ve used it with 2 condensers (neck and body)…multitracked and got a fabulous sound from it…then I record it plugged in to add leads and use effects…overall it’s a great production tool ….that you can play sitting in traffic!!!

Rarely buy acoustic instruments without physically take it for a test drive. Just trusted the brand and watch some great none bias reviews and actual acoustic sound. Now that I have it in my hand and able to really put an ear test impression, great sounding and well made instrument. This Martin will be played daily. Thank you AMS for all the great service..

I'm an active duty service member currently deployed overseas and ordered this guitar after a buddy let me play his. I have been looking at buying a new guitar for quite some time and kept going back to the Dread JR because I have a long history/love for Martin guitars. When the guitar arrived I had my wife open it up and check it over for damage. Let me say AMS really packs things well because there wasn't a scratch on it. After my wife took a few pictures of the guitar and sent them to me I had her video chat with me so I could hear it. I know that what I heard didn't do the guitar justice but I was impressed! She even stated that it was loud for it's size. I have played the Taylor Big Baby and liked the sound of the Martin better. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing when I get back!
