I feel so much better taking this guitar out to gigs than my 1965 D-28. This is so much more durable and I can worry more about the gig than the guitar. Built out of forrest friendly materials, makes me feel better too. The sound is different than my D-28 and I expected it to be, but I wouldn't say it's any less pleasant. And plugged in, it's a monster! Also, after 37 years of playing a dreadnought, this little parlor guitar just added another decade or two to my playing. Martin did it right!

I really never review products, but this guitar doesn't have all that many out there, so I felt it could use more. After playing with this guitar for the last several days, I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. Does it sound as good as it's big brothers, well no. However, it does sound really good for a guitar at this price point. Good projection, crisp highs and a decent bottom end. I was skeptical about the high pressure laminate (HPL) but not anymore! Not only does it sound better than most guitars twice the price but the HPL seems like it's going to be sturdy enough to last for years even with abuse that traveling around will undoubtedly endure. Does it play as well, well yes, I'd have to day it does. Straight out of the box this guitar played phenomenally well! Action was great, the frets are nicely rolled and the electronics sound great as well. If you're thinking about this guitar for a traveler or for a newbie starting out, I honestly think you'll be very pleased enough your purchase.

This guitar plays and looks like a dream! I wish that the volume could be controlled from the guitar, but not the end of the world. Also, this guitar is not exactly ready to play out of the box. The neck will need adjusting so that the action isn’t so high. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this little guitar. It’s my main touring guitar now.
