I found it much easier to install than some other push-pull pots with smaller tabs. it feels very solid when turned, or push/pulled. I would buy it again, and recommend it.

Yes, you need a quality Temperature adjusting Solder station. I have one made in Japan...cost $35. An inexpensive Iron will work, if you can get one that includes fine tips. Remember to always use Ruby Flux...gives you perfect solder joints. Excellent Potentiometer product
