DI recording requires the very best quality cables, and this Mogami Gold cable has become my go-to cable. I had planet waves ceramic/gold, Fender and even monster cables and this is by far yielding the best quality DI capture in addition to attaching well to guitar/bass inputs. Great product. It's not cheap, but good things seldom are.
To think I got this cable as an "in-cart" suggestion when I was checking out with another item! Glad I picked it up.

I bought these cables to replace a couple of relatively new cables that got trashed pretty quickly after I got them. I have been impressed with the quality of my sound... It seems to be better... I know these are a little on the high end of price, but like the saying foes you get what you pay for. These are solid, quite cables, no noise what so ever transmitted to amp by touching, stepping on ect. If you just want to hear your instrument through the amp would definitely recommend them.

I have used a good amount of high-end cable (Belden, lava, George L ‘s, etc.). These cables appear well-made, use good components, and hold up to my other high-end cables. I bought these on a 2fertuesday deal. I have been using Mogami cables exclusively for the last 3 years. I cant say enough about them, they are by far the best cables money can buy. They cost many times what other cables cost, but quality and the lifetime warranty make it the only cable you will ever have yo buy. When I first hooked my rig up with these, I was immediately blown away! My tone was back! No more tone suck.

I have been using these cables live and in my home studio for years. On guitar, I run cables thru my tuner, delay, reverb, and looper to the send and return of the amp effects loop. I run my guitar to the fuzz, wah wah, overdrive, flange, then booster to the front end input of the amp. I tried a generic premium copy cat cable that was less expensive, but I lost so much high end and upper mids that it sounded like it was being muffled by a pillow. On the other hand, when using these cables, the signal comes through clear and crisp. Something which is pretty important when you need to cut through with a band or achieve a clean sound to disk when recording. I have thought long and hard about trying some other brands being that there are so many "Premium Cable Brands" out there these days, but I always opt to go with what I know works. The original premium cable, Mogami!

These are expensive - their quality is well worth it. Don’t buy crap cables expecting them to last - buy these - treat them well, they will last. I’ll stand by my previous reviews of Mogami Gold cables vs others: there’s a certain chime-y quality these cables let through that I haven’t heard from other cheaper cables - whether it’s a double humbucker guitar or single coils - there’s just a little extra sparkle that’s not harsh or brassy - it’s pleasing to the ear.

Disclosure, I got these as a two pack so I paid half price. I got excited because Mogami cables were on sale. I'm running them from a PRS Silver Sky and an Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro III through a pedal board with Jackson Bloom Compressor, Big Muff Pi Wicker, JHS Bonsai, JHS Mufulleta, Vick Audio Mount Pleasant, PROCO RAT 2, another Mogami cable to a Vox AC30 to the effects loop to a Mogami cable, to a JHS Little Black Box, to a Mogami cable to the effect loop return. They replaced a hodgepodge of 15 year old Planet Waves and freebie cables that came in beginner kits. I've also tried going just guitar to amp with the Mogami cable compared with the Planet Waves cable and, if I'm being honest, I have not notice any difference in the sound whatsoever.
It isn't that there's anything wrong with these cables, it's simply that I can justify the price or hype surrounding Mogami cables compared with commodity cables. These work reliably and just fine... But so did the cheapies.

I thought I would try the Mogami Gold cables because I could not get the Pig Hog cables I wanted. The Mogami cables have a plastic covering as opposed to rubber like the Pig Hog cables, which tend to retain the shape the cables have been recently in, thus won't relax and lay down where you put them like the Pig Hog cables do. Until they have been in position for a while, they tend to be stiff. Personally I'm sticking with Pig Hog.

The only cables I trust and use throughout my recording studio. Every piece of hardware and every microphone has Mogami connected from end to end.
I've also recently replaced all of my live rig performance cables with Mogami. That includes Mogami TRS, Patch, and 1/4 to 1/4 for all keyboards, pedalboard gear, and interface connections. The guitar cable is the best TS cable that I’ve used. I initially used Mogami Silver cables for my Korg Microkorg. I can hear hiss and changed it to Belden TS cables to the tune of a little less hiss but still unwanted noise. I decided to give this Mogami Gold a try and plugged it up mono in the Microkorg and WOW!!!! What a vast difference!!! I put on the headphones and literally heard nothing as it was connected with the volume up. This cord is so silent that I could hardly believe my ears. It’s a very quality, thick and sturdy cable. It also blocks interference very well and you can hear the actually true and transparent tone of your instrument.

Many people underestimate the importance of quality cables in their signal chain, or how a poorly made cable can affect their overall sound. High quality cables are a must, especially when recording. These are very high quality cables. They don't tangle, are built like a tank, and quiet as a mouse. You get what you pay for here.

If your reading this you already know the level of quality you get from these cables. They're expensive but worth it. I was lucky to buy them at 2 for 1 which made the impact that much less. Plus, I was able to replace a stage run cable and acquire a back-up cable at the same time. Win-win!

I've been using Mogami cable since 1998. Sonic clarity and consistency are the main reasons. The combination of Mogami and Neutrik form the most durable and sonically superior cables I've ever used.

Mogami cables are great..but expensive. When AMS had a 2-for-1 special, I had to jump on it. Guitar and bass are clear as a bell, no hum or clicks or pops. These cables put others to shame. Seriously.

I ordered mine during the 2 for 1 sale. Typically I’m a budget cable shopper but at that price I couldn’t pass it up. I like the plugs and the cable it self is very nice. I can’t say if they made my tone any different or not, but they definitely didn’t make it worse.

I was noticing that no matter what I did I was getting my upper meds and highs absolutely chopped off- while analyzing the EQ frequencies. Switched to these Mogami cables and what do you know- I have my upper meds and highs back again. You probably could tell only a slight difference in a live/jam setting- but when you start cascading guitar tracks it becomes very very obvious and apparent. I was hesitant only because the price - but thus far I have no buyers remorse and will eventually switch out all the cables in my home studio for Mogami brand cables.

Ok so I bought this cable based on good reviews thinking it would be superior to my monster cables, sorry no dice. Used it in the practice room for a while, sounded good then on my first gig with this cable I walked away from my amp and the cable which is cable strapped to my rig handle tugged on my rig and cut out, dead. I couldn't find my receipt so I cut and soldered it. I'm going back to monster.

Lifetime warrantee is dependable . These are the go-to cables for guys
playing for huge audiences and big bucks . They can't afford to interrupt
their performances to replace a failed cable .
The confidence these cables inspire that your instrument is delivering it's full
sonic potential, and won't cut out in the middle of your set . If this cable had a silent disconnect circuit for swapping instruments , that would be useful. Not
if that results in a sonic sacrifice, though .
Plug the ends into the gear you ordinarily play through and you'll notice immediately.
You might look at what this does for your enthusiasm for the sound of your
instrument . It's like you've stripped away a bunch of gunk from your sound when you play through the Mogami Gold cables.

Great sound quality. If you have a quality instrument and you really want to hear it's tone, then these cables are for you.
Solidly built but still flexible.
Very easy.
The way I see it, you get what you pay for. Just consider it a part of the investment in your sound.

QUALITY:
Pro quality, should last a lifetime with a little care.
VALUE:
Same price line as Monster Cables. There is definitely a difference in quality when compared to cheaper brands.
SOUND:
A/B with a cheap cable and you'll hear the difference - tighter tone & lower noise.
