no its not the most expensive but it is the best. Im using it as an expression pedal for n ehx Cockfight. its very well built and feels good under my foot sitting or standing. the cable plugs in so if I need to I can put a longer or shorter cable on it to fit my pedalboard better. its the best volume/expression pedal Ive ever had. And Ive paid twuce as much years ago on volumes that were no better. its taller than other pedals on my board so theres no chance of knocking them off the settings.

Seems like it will hold up to daily use. The cable is detachable so if there is an issue there it is easily replaced.

This is the first expression pedal I’ve ever bought and owned; I can’t compare it against anything. I use it with my analog synthesizers and it’s been great. It does what you would expect it to do as an expression pedal.

For me, this pedal works just fine. I did have concerns about it being housed in plastic, but once i got my hands on it, all that worry went away. Reasonably heavy and sturdy. Smooth action with minimal resistance but stays where you leave it in the range. Nice angle for your foot to rest on while using it. Adjustable sweep, and works with a wide variety of devices. Not much to complain about, especially at this price. 4 stars because im sure you could damage it with a sledge hammer.

This is the fifth of these pedals that I use every day in my synth rig. Solid, perfect Moog quality and construction. Can’t beat this thing for the price. If you need an expression pedal, this In my opinion is the only one to get.
As usual, AMS service and shipping was perfect.

Sturdy and trustworthy pedal even though it is made of plastic, not metal like the Mission Engineering pedals. However, the price is less than half that of the M.E. pedals. It also is very versatile with a switch to change the polarity and knob to change the range.

An expression pedal has one job. Work everytime without fail. The Ep3 does that. It is quiet, sturdy, simple. It has a compatibity switch which came in handy. I recommend it price not withstanding. Add in the price equation.

The build is great, the pedal is smooth as silk. So far, it's taken all the abuse I could heap on it! I use it with 18 different software synths, and hundreds of individual models. The only thing I could think of to improve this beast would be a switch on-board to change the Midi CC# from 11 to 7 without having to dive into the software setups of the synths when necessary. The very best bang for the buck in my opinion!

Build is out of this world tough and will withstand the beatings on the road. Has a polarity switch and scaling knob so that it works with every piece of gear the industry throws at you. It never slides on the floor and I love the resistance of the pedal...

I bought this pedal to use with my Electro Harmonics Ring Thing. It works fine and seems sturdy even though it's plastic. I like the small footprint as well. It's also nice that you can use your own size cable with it if you like (although it comes with a long stereo cable).I wish the Roland EV5 had this feature instead of the permanently attached cable, as I plan to get the Boss GP-10 and you can only use the EV5 or Boss FV500 (which is big and expnsve) with it.
Just a note to anyone with a Ring Thing: when I used an exp. pedal for the whammy effect, my unit wouldn't let the exp. pedal go a full octave up - it was always a quarter tone flat. When I pulled the jack out to the exp. pedal, it went to the correct pitch. EH has a free software update to solve the problem. I sent my Ring Thing to EH in Long Island City,NY and in less then two weeks I got it back and now it works fine as a whammy, going up to full pitch. Ya gotta call them to get an RA # before mailing it to them.
