I picked this little microphone because he’s a actress and storyteller, I’m usually wearing some sort of a costume or shirt that’s part of what I’m talking about. This microphone fit whatever wardrobe I have on! Discreetly working close enough to the mouth but the sound isEasily captured. As a voice actress, SAGAFTRA foundation offers a voice over lab in LA and NYC. I have attended class TO LEARN & practice voices on the radio. Pros always teach about mics best for spoken word! When I read about this lab mic - it fit all of the specs I needed to know to buy. I have been learning about mics as a Vocalist, doing this work for 40 years so I have a little experience - except in vlogging!
Combining all of my experiential capital with my NEW mic with omnidirectional tech, Plus lots of time, and other great equipment from American musical supply… I recommend this microphone it has met all of my Professional standards & expectations.
You probably won’t see a video with me waiting on Mike because it blends into my clothing so well but you’ll hear the clear quality of my voice!

Still lets powerful plosives through

I love the small form factor of this product. The 4 inch hoop is, to me, easier to set up in front of a mic basket. However, the single layer of fabric only works to stop about 90% of the plosives in a given track. From rock vox to dictation, there was always a few plosives that made it into great takes that had to be redone. I ended up buying another product with a double layer of fabric and now nothing gets through.
