When I receive the product I as surprised to find that it needed assembly. I thought it would be easy.
I’m order to assemble the base, you have to use the so called self tapping screws. The parts are supposed to be labeled with letters. Only two part had lletters E and F. The self tapping screws DO NOT tap easily and there were only 2 guide holes in the foam, one of which was over the plastic end cap.
I have been at this assembly for 40 minutes. I cannot get the base to screw in effectively. I am sweating , which is ridiculous efffort for four screws. I have assembled children’s toys, beds, even car parts and NEVER had such difficulty putting a product, that should be simple, together.
When all is said and done, I will have spent hours assembling something that should have takes minutes. Furthermore, based on the assembly I have my doubts that this product will last, or safely hold my valuable instruments.
I would not recommend this product. Buy one that is already assembled. I wish American musical supply would have told me assembly was necessary and I wish I’d seen a review that had told me that it would a pain to put together.

I’m very happy that I chose this stand. It’s real easy to ensemble, and the equipment looks great on it. I recommend any guitar player to invest in one. Its size allows to fit in most areas using very little space, and holds a lot of equipment. Keep your guitars, cords, and small amps compact on this stand. I expected this to come in just a couple pieces but no you have to completely assemble it, complete with tapping screws even. It's difficult to describe but the top folds down but not because of any hinge but because you cannot tighten the nut on the bolt that combines the top and the bottom pieces. So basically the top will very very easily fall down and wiggles unless you have atleast one guitar sitting in the stand to hold it down. It's kinda just annoying but I don't think you can do better for the price.

I ordered this product so i could have multiple guitars out while i record and to so on space in my studio. Would definitely recommend this stand for home use. It fits 2 acoustics and 3 guitars/Basses or 5 guitars/basses. Nice and compact.

Perfect size for the space I have. It really should be machined more precisely, but any problems I had assembling it were minor. Once I got it leveled, it is sturdy enough and holds my guitars and bass very well, where it sits in my studio. No need for the bottom separators...I like it better and use it without them. For the money, it does a good job. AMS is my company of choice for buying my musical equipment. Great price, great service, amazing no interest no credit check payment plans, prompt free delivery, and free one year extended warranty! Can’t beat AMS!

Took me 1 1/2 hrs to put this together. Metal pilot holes not drilled properly. I had to do tedrill the pilot holes just to get 8 screws in. It will serve it's purpose but a joke to put together. I will not buy another On Stage product.

Unable to fully screw in several of the assembly screws, screw holes in obviously wrong places. I managed to get it stabilized enough to be useable but only barely and I’m not going to go through the effort to send it back.

This is a really nice sturdy stand. When you put the space bars in at the bottom they are a little close together so its a tight fight for your guitars. They are squeezed a little close together but Im not complaining the product is good. And if all else fails you have the option to not use the dividers. Good gear. I recommend!

Unless you mount your guitars to the wall this handy 5 guitar stand is a huge space saver for me! Putting it together was not a big deal although the instructions and supposed labeled parts were not exactly good. For what I paid I am extremely happy with this purchase and it does handle 5 of my electrics without issues!
