This stand is affordable and folds down more conveniently than the double x styles. However, the manufacturing tolerances are low. Mine wobbles back and forth terribly. It’s still study enough to hold a lightweight synth but it’s far from being level. I have a lot to load in and am willing to sacrifice stability for weight but if it’s going to be used in a fixed location I recommend something else.

The stand is pretty simple to assemble - few turns of the included Allen wrench and the legs are in place. No issues holding my 61-key controller.

A Decent Light Weight Stand

I have two heavy X stands that I gig with and wanted something lighter to use permanently in my studio. I use a smaller 4 octave controller and it works out well. While not as sturdy as my bigger stands, it sits next to my studio desk and doesn’t get in the way of things.

This stand has great height since I stand and play.
Plus very sturdy for my korg D1 that I also bought from AMS along with my JBL srx 828 and 2 Prx 835 and 3 Prx 812 monitors. Thanks AMS for great payment plans on all my gear.

Great x-brace keyboard stand. Stable and sturdy. No issues. This is like the 3rd On Stage x-brace one I've bought. Love their products, especially the KSA8500 deluxe keyboard tier (I have two of them).
