Product Review Very fragile stand, if you have to use a lot I would suggest spending the extra and getting a higher quality stand.

Product Review The thing i like about this stand, it has a rod that you can use for 2 different sizes for what your speaker has. Mine has the smaller size and the other i like is i do not have to keep my big speaker on the floor all the time I like the idea of keeping it up high and it is not in the way of anything. It is a good speaker stand for the price and i made a good choice on getting it.

Product Review ReversablE inner pole is a gig feature, fit any speaker. Plus the thicker middle part makes attaching a light simple for smaller gigs

I thought this was going to be a "cheap" stand, but it's solid, stirdy, & a very good buy for the $$

Works Like a Charm

This stand is very sturdy and well constructed for my purpose of use. It's stability once the stand is opened. It's easy to open and set up, but it is a little difficult to close all the way. N/A Your general opinion of this product. It is well worth the money.

The slide hinge at the apex of the tripod is plastic and I can see that cracking over time. The pin is nice and its actually attached to the stand so you won't loose it only a step or two harder than a mic stand NA

Competitively Priced For A Similar Product

This product appears similar to and is constructed as well as the major competitor brands The extension tube which projects from the top and holds the speaker has holes and a "safety pin" that allows you to set the height and then tighten the knob. I am using 40 lb. Mackies and this is not a problem for me when setting up for a gig. Except for the pin on top these are as easy to use as any other brand. I have been a Mobile Party DJ for over 20 years and these are economically a better buy than the major brand names. Putting your speakers in the air will always change the tone of your speakers and provide you with the distance/range you are looking for taking into consideration the shape and size of the room.

Very good stands

I own several On Stage products, and they're very well made. All metal, except for the knobs, which are plastic like most any such product. Relatively light. These are bigger than they appear in the picture. Universal...fits all speakers with stand mounts on the bottom. Adjustable base (legs can be wide or narrow); this is great for smaller venues, but the stability suffers with heavy speakers and a narrow setting). Adjustable height...no problems. Nice locking metal pin for extra safety. Folds into relatively compact size for what it does. Super easy. Expand like a music stand or guitar stand. Hardest part is lifting your speaker onto them and taking the speaker down. N/A...though they will help the speakers you have sound better by projecting your sound cone at the listener's ears.

Bad On Stage Speaker Tripod Knobs

By: AMS Customer from USA      Submitted: 2/5/2008

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
The stand extends and is held into place with knobs. The threads strip out on the knobs and renders the stand unsafe to use. The design of the knobs themselves make them very difficult to replace.

FEATURES:
The rest of the stand is constructed well and seems to hold up under constant road work on stage.

EASE OF USE:
Easy to use and set up. Best to purchase a case to carry them in. Don't overload the case, the zippers will strip out easily.

VALUE:
I've purchased two in the past. Knobs on both of them are shot in a 9 month period using the stands 2-3 gigs per week, and not abusively.
