Damn... this pedal truly gives you a sweet, sweet tone...
only reason I gave it 4 stars is because that rating is reserved for the Stacked Edition... it truly does sound better and has a lot more squeeze...
the compact deluxe sounds great but for some reason it just doesn't seem as intense as other comps... even with the cali's like the slide rig and the stacked you get get massive sustain and a super percussive attack if that is what you are into... well, I am... and the compact deluxe seems to only be able to give me a more subtle comp...
that being said, it's amazing compression... truly, no other compression pedal sounds better

Worth big money? Yes, it is that good. Everything works like you'd think based on the 1170, and it's simple just to listen and dial in. I use it primarily on acoustic guitar in live performance, and it's done stellar work for me. High-end build quality matches the cost of entry—high dollar but also excellent results.

The One

This is probably the most impressed I've ever been with a pedal for going above and beyond what I expected. It's really hard to put into words what it does, but what it does, it does really well. I can hear a tone that does not sound smashed at all, but does sound so much better than the dry signal. Just an amazing compressor. If you need a compressor pedal, in my opinion, there is no other choice.
There is a little learning curve, yes. However, it's good to learn the ins and outs of how compression works. You won't be sorry if you buy this. It's hard to imagine a compressor pedal being an inspiration to play/practice, but this one is for me.

This is my 3rd one of these as I’ve dabbled with compression. Every time I let it go I immediately want it back. Very transparent and of course built to last a lifetime. All of Origin’s gear is top of the line. Skip the rest and just spend the extra bucks you won’t be disappointed

Sounds really cool. Need to dial in the tone that most fits your style. Awesome product but a bit pricey.

Title says it all. This is the absolute best compressor you can buy in pedal form. Infinitely tweakable, but easy to use out of the box. My favorite part is the preamp section. Sometimes I like run it through the preamp with little or no compression to get a sweet, smooth tone.

Bought this to replace a Wampler ego comp. I’m still in the honeymoon phase, but I’d definitely recommend it over the Wampler. It’s way more dynamic, and doesn’t squish your signal as much. Is it worth 140 dollars more than the 200 dollar Wampler? Probably...is ANY pedal worth 340 dollars? Probably not, but the Cali76 is my favorite compression pedal so far. It’s quieter than the SP comp, but about the same as the Wampler, which was quiet. The Wampler and the xotic SP are both Ross style, and this is supposed to be a 1176 clone in a pedal. So I’m not sure that it’s a fair comparison. It’s WAY better than the Keely comps, and takes up the same amount of room as a boss style pedal. The 340 dollar price tag is really steep, but it’s great.
