Not disappointed. Well made, great looking. I use them 4 at a time for monitors on larger stages. I’ve used 2 in small venues for mains with powered mixers. I’ve long been a Peavy fan. I see nothing and hear nothing in these set ups to change my mind

Ordered the pair for my son to use at church events. They have amazing sound quality. Fills the entire 3,200 sq foot sanctuary from wall to wall. Even used for theater room sound when my daughter had a sleepover with her friends. Sounded like we were actually at the movies!!! Would definitely be recommending to my musician friends.

These speakers are full of everything you'd want. I have two that I use for my small congregation and they are almost better than the loudspeakers set on either end of the stage. The bass is low and warm while the highs are crisp and cuts through. It all happens without being overbearing and makes any kind of music or speaking sound like something worth listening to! A great buy!

I have used Peavey for 32 years and I've tried other products but always return right back to Peavey Sound quality overall performance and certainly maintenance-free for me I think these are the perfect monitors for any hard-working musician I give this speaker 5 stars

The sound guy we hired asked us to get monitors to help with our annual 4th of July show. We Found these here at a decent price. They worked with the sound guys set up well... and had a great sound. All performers reported that they were able to hear clearly. So all went well.

The quality is good as far as the solid cab is concerned and the wiring. The plastic corners are a setback from the old days when heavier plastic or even metal corners were used. Carpet is just aweful compared to the old 'truck bed' surface.
The best thing about this product is that it is built tough. Peavey has always had a rep for that. The highs a clean a clear and focus where you would want them as a monitor should (vocals).
How hard is it to hook up a cable to a speaker? Setting up the EQ is tough...more on that later.
This is the most important category and the shortfall here. The highs are fine and focussed in the cab. The weak part is mids and lows. Even for a 12" cab, there's not enough push. I know some say I should have gotten the 15, but my solution was easier and proves otherwise. I had an EVM 12L and replaced the original speaker. Now it sounds great. Sorry Peavey, maybe you should have tried the old BW12 or maybe the Scorpion? This speaker really didn't cut it. I tried it out on it's own and it really is mediocre. More like something I would expect of the cheaper brand names. It worked, but not well. No matter how I EQ'd, I had more tinny highs than anything because the horn way overpowered the basket. I had to nearly cut all the highs which destroyed the tone of the vocals to even things out. We have a quality PA, I know what I'm doing. It sounds great now with a speaker that can throw out with the horn. Hard to believe that would be a problem at such low wattage.

Peavey stuff just seems to last forever. It's not the sexy choice, but it's rugged.
Cheap. Sound good. Did I mention cheap?
Simple plug & play
Sounds great. Vocals are clear as a bell, but not painfully bright. We've added some 15" monitors now that a keys player has joined the band,so as to not overwhelm the 12" speakers in this model, but it's probably overkill....the 12's sounded great.

They are built like a tank!
As an actively gigging musician, these have all the quality and features I need and would expect.
Plug it in and go. Doesn't get any simpler than that!
If you need more low end, get the 15's. If you're just using these for vocal monitors, you'll have everything you'll ever need:)

Great Monitor for just $199

The quality of the cabinet is rock solid. However, the quality of its internal components is yet to be seen, but being made by Peavey makes me think it should last years.
What I like about this monitor is its power handling. I mean, 500 - 1000 Watts of power won't be found in many 12" monitors unless it cost more than $200. The fact that I can position the monitor at 30 or 45 degrees on the floor is a plus.
The sound is excellent. Reproduces high, med and low frequencies very well. I can't find anything wrong as far as sound is concerned. This is a solid performer and I'm buying another one very, very soon.
