I highly recommend these subwoofers. I bought these from AMS back in 2016 and they still sound great! Buying 2 more due to wear and tear of playing live gigs with my band. At this low cost, worth every cent!!

Powerful 15” Sub

Boy did I miss these bad boys. I DJ a lot and upgraded to a pair of 18’s. I thought I was doing good and making an upgrade - power and all that. Wrong. I was not impressed. They were bulky - heavy - hard to transport. Not only do these Peaveys sound amazing - they have casters on them for super easy loading and unloading PLUS they come with mounting poles. The price is super affordable if you are in this market - I highly recommend - and buying from American Musical- you KNOW you’ll get them fast. Pair these with the Peavey PVXP 12’s or 15’s (I prefer the 12’s) and you will ROCK the venue.

A lot of bass in a small package

Product Review
If you are looking for a small sized sub that puts out a good amount of bass.. then you've found the one!
I already had one of the PVXP15 subs and needed to get another. I figures I would do a review and let you all know what to expect.
Start with the good. They are very compact! They are quite narrow with is great because they fir in the back seal of my Mazda 6. I was concerned about them not fitting through the door, but low and behold they went right in! They've got a lot of low end thump for being 15's and my primary use for them was for a rock band playing to about 150 people. They had just enough thump to them (as a pair). I like the fact they have a high pass output, but it's not as described. More on that below. They are somewhat heavy but they are very well made.
So.. they have this Kosmos knob on them to add additional harmonics to give it the sound of an 18... this is just incorrect. I don't use the Kosomos knob as it adds extra harmonics that take away from the crisp punch. It just muddies up the low in. The high pass filter knob is said to adjust the frequency that is allowed to passthrough to the mains (if you're connected to the proper xlr outs). This is also not true on both ones I have. It actually adjusts the low pass freq of the sub. I really don't know how Peavey got that so messed up.. but it's the truth. Even in their product demo videos they say it controls the high pass not low pass.
Regardless of those two incorrect product operations.. the sub works really well. I'm actually glad it's a low pass filter for the sub as I like to capture more of the kick drum than the bass guitar. Sounds a lot more punchier when you dial it down to 110hz or so. I actually listened to this sub compared to a few others that were more "economical" for my pocket and preferred this one instead. The price has gone up on this one drastically since I purchased my first one 3 years ago.
One more thing... there is no expansion slot on the back. I'm not sure why you would want to add an eq to it anyway.. but it's not there. Not on the two I've gotten. This may all sound like a lot of negative things that should scare you away.. but it shouldn't as these subs are actually quite nice. Just a little misinformation which it's the first time for Peavey. Look at the box for the PV10AT mixer and notice how many compression channels is says it has vs how many it actually has... the Peavey rep still owes me one. ;)

This is a great portable sub for small to medium-sized venues. I demo'd one of these for a smaller DJ gig (about 200 people) and it sounded great!
The first thing I like about this sub is the compact size. It's not huge, so if a gig requires two of them I don't need to worry about space in the truck.
The cool part about this sub is it sounds much bigger than it actually is with the help of the KOSMOS C control on the back. Your audience perceives more low end, and you don't have to worry about over-driving the speaker. Not a bad trade.
I should also mention this thing is built like a tank. The covering on the cab is comparable to a spray-on industrial bed-liner/protector for a pickup. No more worries about scraping and chipping your Tolex!
