Got this for my DJ partner and he loves it. He wanted a DDJ1000 like mine but didn't have the money. It's a very comparable piece of equipment although if you have the money go for the 1000 or FLX10

This controller is like the high end pioneer 3000 with features like the 3000. Solid build, a club feel, great jog wheels and rubber buttons and knobs. Makes you feel like you are in a big crowd, specially Rekordbox,

I started with the Ddj 400 and although many suggested I upgrade to the Ddj 1000 I needed more portability so I decided on the Ddj 800 and couldn’t be more happier. Plus I wasn’t in need of having 4 Channels. I made a great choice now all I need is a flight case .

This is an awesome controller. I already have the 1000 and just wanted something smaller for smaller gigs and this fits the bill. It’s basically plug-and-play.
I had it in my cart because it was in back order. But literally in less than a month I got an email from American musical that it was being shipped out. I have always bought my equipment from American musical for the last 12 years. This is a great company. Five stars !!’

I got this for my mobile rig , the 1000 is just too heavy in a case. This works just as good and slightly lighter with the case .

This product has been great for me. I had been out of the dj scene for a while so I was hesitant to pick up a new controller. So far the Ddj 800 has been more then enough for my needs. The amount of features are amazing especially at its price point. I recommend for any dj looking for something portable that can really pack a punch.

I never dj before and a lot of people always say start off with the cheapest controller.Yeah,you can start with the cheapest one but this controller caught my eyes as soon as i got it and man, it's been the best i went all out to get this cause i look back if i had gotten a different controller i wouldn't have been satisfied at just what the ddj-800 can do i know there more other but for me, this dj controller has everything that makes me happy till this day im alway eager to show it off.

I've broken 2 already and wasn't able 2 use my controller for 2months after I bought it because of that cheap part ....other than that its a very nice controller....upgraded from Mixon 4 and debating if I want 2 upgrade 2 the 1000 serato...love the jog wheels and all the features too..

The unit itself is very pleasing to use , well balanced and perfect size for mobility . Nice jog wheels and included display keep you informed without the laptop focus . I was a Serato user but since i got this in March i've only been playing it . Damn good effects and well built machine , sound color Fx is the bomb . absolutely love it .

I love this controller so colorful and the jog wheels are the best. Pretty much everything the DDJ-1000 has but it’s 2 channel, but it doesn’t even feel like that. I totally recommend this control whose ready for next step.

A+ product, feels like im playing on CDJ's with all the different functions. Love the size of the jogwheels and the feature to adjust the jogwheel speed. Really like how portable this controller is too. Various outputs let me play where ever whenever and I dont have to worry about lugging around heavy equipment from gig to gig

This DJ controller is absolutely amazing and all of the features synced in perfect with my Virtual DJ pro. The double mic control is a big upgrade from the SR 1 and 2 that I also purchased from American Musical Supply. I use it for weddings and I have received so many compliments on how Beautiful this controller is. The digital platters make it so easy to mix my songs. I also wanted to mention that I use it with the flight case and the microphone system fits perfectly in the bottom which I also purchased from American musical supply!

The out of town cousin to the higher end CDJ's.
Portability, size, weight,doesnt feel cheap.
Good sound quality and FX are good enough to pull some tricks. I like the display in the middle of the jog wheel, keeps from relying on a laptop, not as much.
It meets the expectation. What it misses from being a perfect 5 STARS is that its still dependent on a laptop.
Rekordbox seems a bit skethcy with audible surge sounds at least from the first few runs of version 5.7.x. Upgraded to 5.8 and ran all Windows updates. Hoping things resolved.
Great for any DJ and situation. Its the right size and only controller with a center display
in the Jog wheel.
If only there were an external screen attachment that removes a $2000 laptop from the equation. That would be the icing here on the cake.

When I was looking for a controller I read up a lot about pioneer. I wanted the DDJ400 because of the price but when I saw the appeal of the DDJ800 i had to order it right there. The price was great for what I wanted and a lot more. The quality they put in the products are amazing, the feeling of the controller is great and the best part about it all is the payment plan! 0% interest with fixable payments!!! 110% recommend!!!

I like the fact that is is a little light weight and the jog wheels have a digital display that gives information on the selected tracks, Also like the Aux input in the back and the 2 available mic inputs. It seems to work flawlessly with Virtual DJ, I did download rekordbox and am learning it. I have had it going on three weeks now.
So far so good it is an awesome controller.
