I started as a Traktor DJ. Traktor's F1 and remix decks gave me the control I needed for a complete more dynamic set. But to be able to play in nightclubs and festivals I knew I had to learn on CDJs, as Pioneer is the industry standard. After investing a few grand on a pair of XDJs and a mixer I still felt like my sets were lacking something.
This DJS-1000 is Pioneer's equivalent to Traktor's remix decks. I'm back to having the hardware I need to make the sounds I want, but in a more professional layout. It's exactly what I needed. Although it's a little pricey, it still has it's value in that it is perfectly in place among a nightclub's setup without having to operate a laptop during my sets. The layout and interface are familiar and everything is easy to see in the dark. Definitely made for live performances.

This is great live or in the studio. Easy to use and everything makes sense with the layout. It’s the same size as my cdj2000’s so fits right in when setup for live performances. I definitely recommend this. Nice job Pioneer ????

So many features to play with almost a year playing with this and I’m still learning things it can do or short cuts for things I want to do. Plug and play for basic features but if you want to get most out of it just play over and over with it everyday it’s like having a new piece of hardware.
