Pioneer always has great equipment but I feel like they could of done more with the hdj 1500. There to stiff and the padding around the ears are too big. But it sounds great in my opinion

I have been a Sony V700DJ user for years but they are no longer available. I wanted to give these a try due to the 50mm drivers they have. THEY ARE EXTRAMELY LOUD for use in loud nightclub environments. However, they are more of an "On the ear" design, rather that over the ear design. That really isn't an issue if you are taking them on and off throughout your gig. They would give you ear fatigue if worn too long due to the design though. Overall sound is as advertised...very low impedance with 50mm drivers = LOUD headphones! Not as Clean / Clear sound as some more expensive models, but they get the job done. I have been using them for about a month in a heavy duty club environment and they are rugged and well built. Totally collapsible, and they come with a very nice carry pouch.
