Like every DJ and turntablist, you'd probably bet your last dollar on some 1200s, regardless of the argument. I can tell you that these Pioneer PLX 1000s are just as good and even better in a few ways. I've used these and also set them up for several DJ clients, and the reaction is always "WOW". The platter is really stable and the torque responds to your every move, while the tone arm keeps your needle in the groove. If you play vinyl, don't hesitate getting a pair of these babies from my go to for DJ and sound needs, AMS.

I've used controllers for some time and got bored with them and felt the need to return to the 1&2. And I must say for the last month I don't miss my controllers nor do I miss my old 1200's. Lets be clear pairing these up with DJM S7 there is not a routine you cant perform. Also I didn't have to buy someone else's mixed up pair 1200's. I was in the market for some new turntables when my pair of Stantons were stolen. I did a lot of research on the pioneer plx-500 and the plx-1000. With money being tight at the time I went with the plx-500. Well I wish I would have just went with my gut and bought the plx-1000 from the jump. I love this turntable. Build Quality is very good. I do a lot of scratching and this plx-1000 holds up to everything I throw at it. It’s sleek in looks and has a very nice finish to it. I’m planning on buying another one for very soon

I’ve used Technics 1200’s I own Stanton ST-150’s and I absolutely love these! Comes with a ton of extras that I didn’t get with my ST-150’s (Rubber dampening mat, useable slipmat, 45 adapter, brand new head shell, a few headshell weights and a deck saver. All for the listed price. These are beautiful looking turntables. The rubber mats give a crazy grip that make the torque very strong on these. They look like remodeled Technics. I would 100% suggest these to anyone who’s looking for some super OEM TT’s.

Torque is stronger than my technic 1200, the platter is a lot heavier so it is noticeable when scratching compared to the 1200. The look is great alongside of my Mixars duo. Great turn tables. Tone arm barely moves so it will be great for anybody unless it’s just somebody’s preference to get something else.

Looks great and plays awesome. I use mine in a component system with 15 inch Cerwin Vega floor speakers running at 160 watts per channel rms. I love bass and the plx1000 performs flawlessly with the volume cranked up. Witch is something I can’t say a $1300 supposed audiophile turntable can do because it didn’t. If you’re looking for a great performer look no further than the Pioneer PLX1000!

I would have given 5 stars as I think that it's worth it. The only thing I wish pioneer would add to the package are the screws for the headshell. I had to buy a screw kit for it. And a better alignment tool for installing the cartridge on the headshell. The one in the manual sucks. Other then that it is a great turntable. Love it.

Yep, that's right! I said these tables are just as good, maybe even better than 1200's. I have owned several sets of Technics 1200's in the past and decided to go looking for another set to get back into my vinyl. The used 1200 market is insane on prices they are demanding for used tables. I decided why buy somebody's used tables when I can own new for the same or even less.
Enter the Pioneer PLX-1000. The torque is amazing. Startup is dead on and slur is non existent. The blue lights were a nice touch and look awesome in the dark. The ability to go +8, +16, +50 on the tempo is very handy. Being able to detach the power cord is also nice feature. I had extra Monster RCA's laying around so being able to switch these out was also a plus with the detachable cables. The tone arm feels a tad off. Almost a little too hollow however the sound is perfect. I would say even good enough for an audiophile! It's Pioneer so I trust it will last forever. Get a pair!
