Mini version of the CDJ 3000, if you can’t afford to see DJ 3000 and honestly if you’re not buying it for a club setting or any professional setting this is the controller to have for your home to practice you have the exact same tools and functions that the CDJ 3000 has an a smaller more affordable controller we have the option for it to be standalone or to be used with a laptop and it runs both Serato and record box.

I researched controllers for nearly a year before deciding to go with the Pioneer DJ XDJRX2.
I asked alot of question and did alot of research to arrive at the decision to buy. What moved me closer in that direction was trying out a friends controller with Rekordbox. Even though we used a laptop with his controller I found rekordbox easy to use. Being the Pioneer DJ XDJRX2 Uses Rekordbox made my decision easier. The first feature that stood out to me was it being a stand alone unit. For me not having to bring a computer along meant everything.
The next feature was being able to record directly with the unit. Over the last couple of years I recorded my DJ sets with a hand held digital recording device. It was one less thing to carry and less cords to bring along. Sometimes I would record mixes and couldn't find the mix on the SD card. The Pioneer DJ XDJRX2 eliminated all of that.
The next stand out feature was that you don't have to eliminate vinyl. You can still use turntables with the unit. When I have guest DJs come to station they have options. They can play digital, analogue, or both. Everything can be worked from the same unit without having to unplug or move anything around.
Things I like about the item are the jog mode and vinyl speed adjust. You can get torque on the controller to that same consistency as you can vinyl for blending and scratching. The touch screen is excellent. It is very helpful when you flip back and forth to see how many minutes in and and how much time is left on a track that is playing. The keyboard feature is especially good if you need to find tracks by name fast. I don't mind using the jog wheel and the forward/back track search button.
There isn't really anything to dislike about the product. If I did have to make a suggestion or an improvement I would say find a way for unit to analyze the tracks instead of having to do it on a computer or separate device. However if you are DJ this shouldn't be that big a deal as you should know how to make a clean mix. Even without the track analysis the BPM is still displayed.
I bought this unit as Christmas gift to my in December of 2020. Once I decided to go full on with the radio station my research led me to know this unit was the best fit. All I need to do is record 2 radio shows a week with clean mixing. For that this unit meets every expectation. I don't need the fancy bell and whistles for what I am using it for but as I discover them I will use them. I am still learning features on the until that will take my mixes to the next level. I haven't got the carrying case yet but the portability is light. The carrying case will be the icing on the cake for easy transport as I will definitely be bringing this to unit to live gigs in the future. Overall I am very happy with this unit. It makes my transition from vinyl to digital fun as I have the option to do both through this product.

Out of the box, I was able to start having fun! If you are familiar with the general operation of controllers, you will be at home with the Rx2. DJs that have this will be able to get on standard "CLUB" SET UPS and be able to navigate with confidence. The RX2 has a big, easy to use, touch screen, and once you set your music up with rekordbox, you are able to make all kinds of pre set for your playing pleasure. hot cues, loops, and so on, will be locked into your USB! I have only had the RX2 for a few months, and I am loving the mobility, and professional look and feel of this unit.

I love this thing, all the feel of having 2 XDJ’s and a mixer (pioneer mixer), yet small enough to pack around and considerably light and easy to carry. Took this out right when I got it to an industrial hemp farm to play some overnight parties and ROCKED IT HARD. Don’t let the small size fool you, this thing can jam HARD. Literally the best pro audio investment I’ve made in the better part of two decades. Having played on the industry standard Pioneer CDJ NXS2 setup an innumerable amount of times, I can safely say that the differences between the two feel decidedly negligible. You’d be hard pressed to find a better all in one solution for getting yourself ‘gig ready’ at home without spending 6K. And the best part is that I guarantee that when you step up to the decks at any club/party/festival, youll have a seamless and anxiety free transition from what you’re used to at home. IMO, if you’re serious about DJ’ing, and have ambitions to play out, then there’s literally no other piece of gear to invest in besides the XDJ RX2

I've been wanting this unit because it is a standalone system, meaning I dont need a laptop to be able to use the Controller (though the option to connect one is certainly there). I've run Serato with another controller that needed a laptop to function, and the controller was only as good as the laptop, which meant constant freezing with my previous controller. This is no longer an issue for me, all my laptop is used for now is to sync my tracks to Rekordbox, and sync to a USB and I'm ready to go. The touch sensitive fullscreen is amazing when beat matching the waveforms, and song look up is just a search away if you have a music library that has not been organized. 2 USB slots with 2 headphone jacks (3.5mm and 1/4 inch) makes B2B sessions a breeze with another friend/DJ on the fly. The only thing missing is the capability to have a 4 channel mixer, but that's nothing compared to all the features this amazing controller has. I've had the unit for about 3 months, and I could not be happier with my purchase. Would definitely recommend this unit to anyone who wants to give DJing a try, as well as seasoned DJ veterans.

This controller is amazing. As a DJ, it includes all the features of CDJs and a mixer, and more. Some features that stand out are the effects & filters, the ability to record mixes, ability to input aux cord and play music from other devices, live VJ (video jockey) capabilities, and Hot cue buttons.

I have been playing on the RX2's for a few months now, and I must say... it is a very nice Controller for the DJ who is ready to step up their game, from the entry-level Controller. The RX2 has enough features of a Pioneer Club setup, to feel comfortable, when stepping-up to the DJM/NXs, especially with the seamless transition of the Rekordbox software. I especially like the mixer portion of the Controller, as it mimics the DJM in great detail, down to the resistance of the knobs & levels, giving it a feel that far exceeds the price-tag of the overall system itself. The 7" screen provides plenty of space to conduct the business of the seasoned vet, but also allows the novice in all of us, to expand our skill in a real club feel. If I had to point-out one thing that I was impressed with right out of the box, it would be the size of the platters. They were definitely smaller than I had envisioned, and far more sensitive than the CDJ's that I have used in the past. After a few sessions on the Controller, it was easily adaptable, and did not end up being an issue thereafter. All-in-all, I would highly recommend the RX2 to any DJ that wants to take their craft seriously. You will not regret your decision!

I have been playing around with this thing for a couple of weeks now.
It almost identically mimics a full CDJ/Mixer combo for near half the price. It works stand alone which means like a CDJ you can play from a usb and not need a laptop.
The jog wheels work flawlessly though they could be a little bigger in my opinion to make things like scratching easier, if that is what your into.
the faders are butter smooth and the entire mixing experience is highly pleasurable.
Moreover, I originally purchased a cheaper unit and had second thoughts. AMS immediately took care of me. AMS sent me the new unit before they even got the return back. Moreover, shipping was literally one day.IE: Amazon fast shipping.

Even though some people may have wished they'd come out with a 4-channel version, I think it would just be to impractical as a business model. The XDJ series alone is the contemporary standard in DJing right now. Let’s face it, spending $10k+ on a Nexus CDJ setup just isn’t in everyone’s budget, for even a majority of professional DJs. And even when you do spend that, it’s not like it can be a mobile setup! The XDJ-RX2W is literally the best piece of equipment I’ve ever had. The touch-screen features, the 8 rubber pads great for mashing Cue points or hitting quick loops. The beat-jump feature is perfect for B2Bs when you don’t really know the song your mixing into & miss the drop timing by 1 beat or 8! With a payment plan it’s extremely affordable, one gig a month pays for mine & then some! Love this deck, 5/5 stars 10/10 recommend to all skill levels! The XDJ is perfect product for a first timer or a veteran DJ. The platters and layout of the XDJ is very similar to the Pioneer CDJ series, which is the industry standard. This gives the new user a chance to practice on something similar. For the veteran DJ they also get the chance to practice on something similar as the CDJs at half the cost.

This unit has been an incredible learning tool for me. I’ve learned so much since I made the choice to get the XDJ-RX2. It would truly be a blessing to get my gear paid off. It would enable me to continue putting my music studio together and acquire more gear. This would seriously be a dream come true. You guys have the power to make dreams happen right now. This product is by far the most user-friendly, easy to set up, bad ass musical instrument with recording capabilities there is. I just recently started playing again after a long break and the transition from vinyl and record players to this system has been incredible. Drive safely I would recommend this product to All ages and abilities including those just starting out. In addition, the customer service, financing and Support from American music supply has been incredible… Pick this product up yesterday!!

This deck is absolutely fantastic, I’m what you would call an old school DJ ( wax and turntables) not anymore a friend of mine suggested that I step up my game and I could never be more happy I can literally do a live remix right from the deck no more countless hours in the studio no more digging thru crates of records now I’m stomping with the best of em, plug and play I love this Deck.
I tell folks all the time if it wasn’t for AMS this feeling of accomplishment would not have been possible until a future date, thanks AMS!!!

Once again, Pioneer delivers a solid product. Hfty and weighted, not plastic or flimsy feeling. Wonderful response time and great sound. I was an instant fan with the RX1. My only complaint is that I wish this had a 4 channel mixer as opposed to 2. The touch screen is okay, but I have honestly never used it.

I love Pioneer DJ products and the XDJ RX2 is perfect. Works flawless and has everything you would need in an all in one player. I recommend Pioneer DJ to all DJs the sound and quality is the best in my opinion.

I really dig the concept of this mixer, however it does only accept one format of USB. I had my thumb drive I used for CDJs and it would not read it. It also has some latency issues I have not figured out yet.

As a recent Traktor concert I’m amazed at the functionality this unit carries standalone! I like the filters and sound color fx and love the external tap tempo effects channel! Between that, a rugged build, great sound and American Musicals top notch service and payment plans.... I’m loving this thing more than I could have ever anticipated!

Awesome controller, once of the best of Pioneer. Easy to used, practical and affordable. I wish it would been for channel but is great as it is. Do far I haven't mess with that much with the usb. But it work good.

Definitely an improvement from the original XDJRX (1) : The controller is set up more in line with how the Cdj 2000s are - referring to the button alignments - it now has colored waveforms on the display and better feeling and more functional Touch/beat pads.
i absolutley LOVE this controller , i highly recommend it and it comes with a Rekordbox licenese! :) !!!!

Pioneer has done it again. This system is unreal. Rekordbox is the future and the XDJ RX2 makes it so easy to use. I saved thousands by just going with the XDJ RX2.
