One thing: I hate those "wall-warts" and one reason for buying this was it can incorporate a 9 volt to power it. Well, at the bottom of the unit is a hatch door that includes a battery snap. But, with the battery securely attached to the door, it won't fit back into the unit?!?!?! You have to stuff the battery loose into some room between the stomp buttons. Minor issue - but- ProCo - are you listening? Just got it; time will tell. Your general opinion of this product. Well built to last, user friendly; just select a channel and go. Very tight control knobs - nice. Its analog (which is what I like)so tweaking is a must. Attractive and durable as far as I can tell. No dead spots or flurries on the paint. Its nice. Feels built to last.

Your general opinion of this product. OVERALL:
I play bass through this box and it sounds HUMONGOUS. The rat has always been one of the few distortion boxes that could work with a bass. About 10 years ago I found out about the R2DU, the rack rat that had two rats configurable as stereo or cascadeable. Well that was discontinued about as soon as I heard of it. This is even better as each of the Rats has a little switch on back to choose Rat, Turbo Rat or Vintage. My 1970 Ovation Magnum through this box into my Boogie 400/GK 4x12 & 2x10 is pretty much the voice of god. The only drawbacks are the price and lack of a manual. I would like to know the difference between the "clean rat" and "dirty rat" switch settings. and also what voltage to feed it from a PS. A sticker would've been neat too!
