Was initially very disappointed. Upon arrival the guitar was practically dead and unable to produce notes on and around the 12th fret. Was only playable in the first position but there were hints of greatness. The guitar came with 12g strings which in my opinion were way too heavy for this guitar. I had the instrument professionally set up trust rod adjusted and had the strings changed to Elixir nano webs 11s. The guitar became instantly more playable and sounds like a dream. Could easily compete with guitars 3-4x the cost. Adjustment is around 120 bucks but to get this sound out of it now was worth it. My only complaint is that it would have been nice if it was inspected first and adjusted before sending it out as it would have been easy to see it was not playable. However, it may have been inspected and adjusted prior to shipping and knocked out of whack during shipment. Anyway, be prepared to have it professionally set up on arrival and string change the extra cost will still be well below what you would have paid for other guitars. Well made beautiful instrument.

I got this guitar for a steal of a deal, because of a minor blemish. Immediately the best playing acoustic I've ever played, even more so than my Taylor 414ce, and that is saying something! Great unplugged sound. It needed new strings right out of the case, but that is no problem. It's an absolute looker too.
The ONLY reason I gave it 3 stars is I'd much rather have an actual eq, even if it's just the bass and treble like the Taylor has. It only has a tone knob, so I can't actually add bass or treble when plugged in. That part is a bit of a disappointment, but I can use an EQ pedal, so it's just a minor inconvenience. All in all, great guitar!

I am awe struck by this guitar. I have a hard time putting it down. I have played many guitars in the past 40 years, but nothing like this one, it is the most playable guitar, the hole neck every frett, it's amazing, it's seems to instruct me and inspire me,It's indescribable, I love this guitar !!!

The guitar arrived in pristine condition, no defects. I was very concerned about warping since this was shipping in freezing temperatures for a New England destination. This is the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen, heard, and felt. Couldn't be happier to own this as my only acoustic guitar. I will own this forever. AMS was amazing to work with, since this was backordered they kept open communication about anticipated arrival, and they shipped it as soon as it arrived to them.

I have used both Taylor and Martin but I have to tell that this PRS beats them big time.
It has everything u ever can ask for when it comes to electric/acoustic guitars.
The range is unbelievable.....I can only say.....buy it and make your music life better!

I bought this for my husband for his birthday this year as owning a PRS has always been one of his dreams. He plays a lot mode acoustic shows so it seemed more practical to buy an acoustic guitar rather than an electric guitar. He is extremely picky with guitar tone and prefers an acoustic with a really warm and rich sound. This guitar is absolutely BREATH TAKING and plays like a dream. I could not be happier with this purchase, especially for the price. This absolutely plays, sounds, and looks like guitars 4x this price point.

PRS has always been a top notch maker of guitars. There is absolutely no shortcuts on this guitar. I've been playing for 33 years and this A50E is in my top three. Excellent quality! Just slap on your favorite strings and jam! I use Elixer strings on all my acoustic guitars.

This beautiful guitar came on time and in perfect condition, set up is spot on and the action is nice. The neck is wide but comfortable and fast. This guitar projects quite loud and bell clear and it just looks fantastic with the mother of pearl apts. don't need to spend thousands for a guitar when at this price you can have this.

I wasn't going to do this review due to I really don't care to say something negative about products unless they really suck . I had been up and down about buying this guitar for sometime , and finally took the plunge . PRS makes some mighty fine guitars " though I have always thought they were extremely overpriced".I have been dealing with AMS for over 20 years now and their service and policy is the absolute best !! I recieved the guitar the next day shipment. I first was not impressed with the case this PRS acoustic came in . The short scale of this guitar was somewhat uncomfortable, and the sound was so tinny that it was annoying for the 5 minutes that I played it and decided to send it back . It was in need of a total setup . Strings were extremely high and there was a bit of a neck bow . I have quite a few A/E guitars and for the 900.00 this guitar was going for I decided ,no way . I have played guitars at half the price of this that played circles around this one .I will admit , it was pretty , but pretty just doesn't make it ! Maybe I got a bad one , I don't know but I wasn't about to take another chance on another one . Any way , AMS took care of me in the return with no problem , and , I got another Guild .

I placed my order with Glenn,this was my second purchase through AMS,and I must say the experiences have been most pleasing. I'm a beginer player but wanted what I deem a higher quality Guitar, and boy did PRS deliver. I initially had some reservations about a Chinese made Guitar. But boy oh boy, the PRS design team really knocked it out of the park. My new A50E is impeccable in design as well appearance. Buy from AMS with confidence! They are super easy to work with, and their convenient payment terms made this a no brainer for me. Nuff said!

I want to start this off with I am not an acoustic guitar connoisseur. I enjoy electric a lot more than I do acoustic, but there are times I just want to jam out with one.
I am absolutely loving this guitar. I took a shot and ordered this through AMS without picking one up and trying it out. I was just going off of the reputation that PRS has. I am completely blown away. It is bright sounding just like how I wanted it to be. It feels like it is built well. It is absolutely gorgeous as well. Pictures do not do it any justice. One thing that blew me away was the flamed finish on the back which has got to be a veneer for a guitar this price.
The set up out of the box was great. There wasn't much that I needed to adjust on it. The hard shell case it came with feels good and rugged. It is just a really good value guitar.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a good playing and good looking guitar.
