I use this as a drum pad controller using Superior Drummer and it works pretty good for that. I will say if you use EZ Drummer II I would not buy this because it doesn't work with that but other than that i like it. It looks super cool and it's compact enough to throw in your backpack.And it works seamlessly in Studio One of course.

Being able to navigate around Studio One without a mouse. Having hands on control over the software is a huge advantage. I have used it about a month and it has meets my expectations. The Atom does have a little learning curve, but so does everything in life.

I absolutely love the Atom Pad. It has become my "go to" for production. I have Maschine2 with lots of expansion packs. But, with Atom Pad, Nexus3 and Serum, my Maschine2 is in the closet.
Chord mode has really sped up my process, too. Presonus has hit a home run here.

Single mom of four here so I'm on a budget but wanted to get something like this for my boys. Oldest two just started recording music and needed something besides the podcast microphone I had and their guitars. Got this and am AMAZED! The financing saved me, I can't even tell you! And holy cow this is the coolest thing for those who want to make their own music sound more professional and diverse!!!!! I would get this for any musician, not just beginners! I bought the Atom to improve my work flow and I also needed a new pad controller. I am not disappointed! Since I already use Studio One 4.5, it integrated nicely and the control is excellent! I almost forgot that I own a mouse because I can control most basic functions. The Presonus Atom exceeded my expectations for sure!

I use studio one and impact while works well with my Nektar Impact 61+ lacked the ability to control all the parameters in the impact vst. Presonus did an amazing job creating this drum machine. I use Maschine Studio as well but it does not integrate with studio one and has to be used in midi mode which is a pain to do. I recommend the atom to anyone who needs a dedicated drum machine to use with the impact vst for drums in studio one. It is well made and small enough to squeeze in a tight space and price very well.

For what you need , the ATOM is an excellent product , I got mine to go with my iPad Pro , garage band studio . And fell in love with PRESONUS , I ended up getting the whole presonus linup of gear and software , if you are getting a nice compact portable studio together , the ATOM is perfect , I have had a lot of expensive gear in the past 35 years , I am happy-er with this , than most of the bigger ones over the years . Great begginer piece , or great for pro’s on the road .

The ATOM integrates seamlessly with Studio One and if you register the product on the PreSonus website you get a free copy of Studio One Artist! The sensitivity of the pads is unbelievable and you can easily adjust it to find your perfect playing style. I'm blown away by the kinds of dynamics I can get while playing acoustic drum sets with the pads. Hip Hop drum sounds and old school drum machine samples sound great as well. There are a lot of videos provided by PreSonus and many others on YouTube to help you get going.

Small footprint, satisfying tactile experience with the buttons. seems solid and durable. I am using Studio One and I had to do next to nothing to get it working. Within minutes I was able to call up patches and form loops in the drum editor. Good for loop based arrangement and live performance especially.

I’ve only had it for a short time but getting used to it’s workflow. I’m relatively new to DAW having tried to understand it all a few years ago. Have made much more progress in the last 2 weeks. The manual could use more detail as most today are minimalist in their approach and expect prior knowledge. PreSonus customer support did get back to me within 2 days to provide me with the answer of what the differences were between the pads that are notated 1/4 vs 1/4T. 1/4T means “triplets”. Nowhere was that explained. Cudos to them for their fast response.

I can not speak to it’s use with other DAWS, in fact trying to integrate a launch key with studio one is one of the biggest headaches I’ve experienced. So when presonus announced a out of the box fully integrated controller for S1 I ordered mine the same day. Presonus has not let me down yet

The ATOM is about the size of a mouse pad. That works great for me because it slides right under my computer desk. Everything is pre-configured to work with Studio One, and you can create your own user knob presets. Check the manual it's great.
