This piece of hardware has made using Studio One so much faster and easier for me. I’ve got bad eye sight, and the FaderPort makes it do Jane to look at the screen far less, and I can really concentrate on the project. Definitely highly recommend, especially for Studio One, but it works great with other DAW’s s well!

The features that i like are the button and they light up very nicely to see what they assigned to do. The motorized faders are great when you have a mix and don't have the settings written down. The unit works with Widows or Mac. You can also set certain keys to do different things for faster mixing. I have 2 units the 8 and now the 16 so i have 24 tracks with these units and they work together well. Hooking up was easy and Presonus makes it very easy to do that. A very good product. i have had these for a couple of months.

I needed a mix control surface for when I'm mixing. I just had surgery on my right arm and faderport 16 has helped me a lot while only using one hand! It is a phenomenal product and I am using it with cubase 13 pro with no issues! I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a quicker work flow!

This PreSonus FaderPort 16 has made my Pro Tools Mixing workflow a Breeze. No longer having to use a Mouse or Keyboard has made finalizing my Production Projects so much more efficient. It controls everything, even my Plug-Ins, Panning and Automation. It's just an incredible piece of equipment that all Project Studios should have.

You might think the mouse and keyboard can capture all the nuances of your mix...you're wrong! There is nothing like true sliders to lock in that feel. This thing is amazing if you are serious and using Studio One as your DAW.

* Some of the features that stand out about this board is it's size. It's not much wider than a computer keyboard, but has 16 motorized faders and a navigation area that is backlit!
* What I like about the mixer is its color and back lit buttons. Makes it easy to work in dark areas. Plus, there are a variety of colors displayed; just not your standard electronics colors of red, green, or orange. What I don't like about the mixer is the round buttons. I would much prefer the buttons be square.
* I have owned the PreSonus Faderport 16 for about 7 months now.
* Overall, the PreSonus Faderport 16 meets my expectations and I am happy with it. Having the motorized faders with memory lock is what I was wanting. Also, having something fairly portable is helpful also.. I apprciate PreSonus for making this product!

The presonus faderport 16 is absolutely the best mixer for the money! It connects to daw and give you more of that hands-on feel that people love when they’re in the studio mixing in mastering! I wouldn’t trade mine for the world!

I bought this for reaper not knowing it’s main use is for studio one . I do not have all the features working but for what is worth it works fine for what I need . You will not be disappointed with this product. Very easy to install and program. I very much recommend this it will speed up your work flow.

Every DAW software sold should include one of these.
I used two Behringers before, they did work well, but looked way bulkier and taller in design.
Im not keen on the soft transport control buttons, but besides that, i love what I see. It blends in with other desktop gear much better, and it works right out of the box.
Fader movement is smoother, too.
16 of them in one chassis!
That's all we (who use Akai MPC-s and hardware synths for MIDI sequencing) need, the DAW is just a glorified reel to reel for audio tracks, so it's all right in front of my face.
Super intuitive and fun, really.
I see and control all my audio channels, arming, soloing, muting, fading, effects sending, etc. without ever needing to switch, scroll, page and so on.
Life is wonderful, thanks Presonus!

This works very well with Sonar Platinum, but you must
go to the Presonus website and follow the instructions
it's a little tricky if your not a computer geek, which I am not!
But once I followed the video instructions it came to life
and worked perfectly, now I can enjoy having a hands on feel with an actual mixer with motorized touch sensitive faders and use the mouse a lot less.

I'm from the cusp of analog (SSL boards) to digital (Pro Tools, mouse, and a keyboard). I miss the faders/nobs. Now my workflow is back up to speed and I absolutely love it. No slowdowns whatsoever. I upgraded from the original FaderPort and let me tell you, one fader to sixteen? Goodness, the audio gods are good to me. LOL! If you're old school like me, do NOT hesitate to get this or you'll regret it.

I have 15 years of audio engineering experience, and this console is the best board I've ever used! The board allows me to take total control of the mix at the push of a button, and the weight and size is perfect for my studio desk. The installation videos made it easy to install, and having the board has increased and improved my workflow.
The only things I dislike about the device are as follows: 1) The device is not compatible with all DAWs, specifically Reason.
2) When using Protools, I sometimes have problems with the faders not being in sync with the faders on my screen. (I found a work around by opening my firmware and powering up the console at the same time, which causes the console to work just fine).
Despite these few challenges, I find that the Presonus console is by far the best console I've used and I highly recommend it.

Presonus Faderport 16 looks really nice in my studio, (especially in dim lighting!). It was extremely easy to set up, and is highly intuitive. I still haven’t yet tried the foot switch operation for forward and stop of the transport, but I suspect it will also make life easier in this respect, as it does in so many other ways! The only suggestions I have for making it even better, would be for Presonus to offer a full transport foot controller that would allow for pressing the record button, rewind, fast forward, delete, etc. The other suggestion would be to make the 2 twist knobs completely variable, like the knobs on the Atom controller, instead of notched. That would allow for more precise adjustments when sizing display of tracks, etc. Unless I’ve missed it, a tap tempo button would be a nice addition, however, the Atom, when used in conjunction, does have this feature. I haven’t had my Faderport 16 very long, yet, and my Atom just got here a couple of days ago, so I still have a lot to learn and get used to with each of them! But already, I’m learning a lot quickly, and the more I know, the easier everything is getting! So much better than using a mouse to click on a bunch of tiny on screen switches all the time! Everything Presonus makes is top quality, and works great! And American Musical Supply is incredible to work with!

This is a beautifully designed piece of equipment. I have only had it a week or so but I plugged it right into my Mac studio set-up using Logic and it just started working.
Most controls are very intuitive, but I know there are many other features I have yet to try.
We have it hooked up using the Presonus Thunderbolt interface and the quality of this three piece set up with the Mac and now the Faderport is AWESOME, Very clean studio quality audio.
As an added feature, the knowledge and assistance of the guys at AMS made the whole experience top notch.

This faderport 16 is very smooth and easily to connect. When you are deep in the mix, tracking vocals, or editing using write mode it can do the job. I love it. If you are going to the new hybrid sleek studio look then this gear will becomea center piece of attraction. Smaller pro studios and home studio should have one or two.

This control surface takes mixing back to the console days.not just that being able to have control over plugins sends busses pan is simply wonderful. I got mine Wednesday been learning every since. The coolest thing to me is not looking at the monitor and adjusting the eq and letting my ears do the work not my eyes. Thank you Presonus

Recommend it for hands on feel. I use it with Studio One so the integration is seamless. The motor faders are great a feel sturdy!! And sensitive touch!! Yes!! Great controller. I used to have an MCU, and loved it, but it died and I never replaced it for years. This version of the faderport came out, and I HAD to! AMAZING controller for Studio One. You’ll barely need to look at the keyboard if you learn it enough. I also use it in Reaper, and it works well in MCU mode. It also has Logic, Sonar, and Cubase mapping built in. Presonus did a great job. Sturdy. Faders are just as good as MCU.
