I primarily use pro tools and i thought this would be a great addition along with my icon qcon...but it wasnt...
My sessions are typically 30 tracks minimum and the faderport slows me down. If i click on a track, the faderport does go to that track all the time and i have to figure out which track its on then scroll to the track i want
When it works it works great
I cant return it anymore but im selling it

I enjoy using the Faderport with Studio One because it integrates nicely with no problems plus, as a guitarist, I can punch in and out with the footswitch feature. This is the main reason I purchased it. Also, it's better than using a track pad on a mac book for everything.

Thoroughly enjoyed this product. Returned it to get the 16 Fader. So nice being able to hope to different tracks immediately and make adjustments. Integration with S1 is great.

This controller is well-built and sturdy! The controls feel like you are working on a premium mixing console. The setup is easy, although you must ensure the controller is in the correct mode. There are several modes depending on the DAW you use. Please look in the owner's manual on how to switch modes based on DAW preference. You cannot go wrong with this unit. BTW I had the previous version of this one, and I really like the layout and button colors over the previous model!

The Faderport is such a cool tool to have in the studio. Being able to control the recording process and automate with a physical fader is awesome. The controls on the unit also let you designate touch, read, write, latch modes for automation once something is selected in the daw and it works with pretty much every daw.
Its inexpensive, but def worth the money for the amount of control you are given with the unit.

Integration with Studio One was ridiculously easy by following the simple setup instructions. It will take time to remember to check to see if I’ve left the “Shift” key activated so as not to make edits I didn’t intend, but that’s no worry. I did find that the fader calibration will drift slightly, and I have to look at the DAW to confirm that I’ve actually “zeroed” a fader, as opposed to relying on the zero point on the Faderport. I mix with my ears and not my eyes anyway, so it’s really more of an OCD issue than anything for me. I feel like I’m inching closer to the (impossible) dream of NEVER touching a mouse on a session, so I give 5 stars despite my small issues. I also use Ableton Live quite frequently, so I’m hoping the functionality is 75% as good as it is with Studio One, but I haven’t tried it yet.

This is a mouse for musicians. Period. It lets me control Studio one so well I almost don't need to touch anymore for tracking, static mixing or automating. Recording with a guitar on my lap has never been easier and I feel I'm only scratching the surface with the capabilities of the unit.

I still forget that I have it, I often times still reach for my mouse. Great entrance level mixer perfect for those that do have super complicated projects like myself nice sized button makes workflow fast and Easy I would recommend it to all that do small project tracking

I got this hardware in an effort to make my production process more tactile and less clicky and it has done just that! It contains a lot of shortcuts that make the mundane processes of music production (such as scrolling through the arrange window) super easy. It is a plus that it makes my home production setup look even more like a spaceship! Highly recommended, especially if you use Studio One like I do.

Easy to set up, plugged it in and did the stated key combination at start up which set it up for logic X.
I found myself using it instantly at first just for the transport controls which sped up workflow. The click and loop functions were next slowly working some of the other functions into my process.
I like using the trackpad and keyboard on the MacBook Pro so I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a good purchase, With that said it has definitely removed a bit of technical in the creative process.

Small financial investment to yield a big return with speeding up workflow. I am using it with Studio One and it obviously is integrated perfectly with the program. The buttons are big and bright which is a plus for people that like to work in lower light environments. It is very straightforward to use and all the buttons did what you would expect them to the first try. It has a nice weight to it and has rubberized pads to keep it from sliding around. I can't really think of anything I am disappointed with.

enjoy this new faderport. everything works in studio 1 3.56 with no problems. highly recommend. p.s if you are still on windows 7, make sure you have the latest sp1 installed. also make sure you install the latest universal control driver as well as the 3.56 exstention driver from your presonus account for the faderport to work properly in studio 1 3.56. don't need the exstention is using with studio 1 4. highly recommend. peace and God bless!

This is a life savior, as a mixer i need a fader in order to do automation and to get that next level mix my clients love, but more then that this thing helps me arm tracks quickly, solo, mute and it just speeds up the workflow. Just Incase you are wondering i am using this with Pro tools. Love it. Pull the trigger, you will not be disappointed.

Well, this is a pretty straightforward controller. As a Studio One user (also with other daws though) this is an obvious choice. Only downside I've seen is the mysterious button combos required to switch DAW modes...but once figured out, everything works right out of the box.
