Product Rating Product Review Sure, we all plan on having our new guitars professionally setup when they arrive, but honestly, who has the willpower to wait for another two weeks before jamming? Hence, there are few greater pleasures than a guitar that plays great from the factory. Sure, it will benefit from a professional setup when I get some free time to send it out, but I've cut studio-grade tracks with only this guitar and the Nolly plugin from DSP.

Product Review definitely meets my expectations and more. Not saying I've beat the hell out of this guitar but from the feel of it it even seems sturdier than expected ya know being a pretty expensive guitar. If you're tryna be a metal artist or anything as hardcore if not more then this has hardcore from the mean pickups to the perfectly heightened strings. I'm a pretty skilled hater in my trait and I honestly cant hate on this guitar. esp's are not really my type but I guess if you're into playing old people music you can go for that I guess I prefer my sound to be friggin mint though. the paint job on this bad boy is nice to it almost seems like the purple shades away and comes back based on lighting. I've had this guitar for a month so all I can say is just don't be reckless this is a fire piece of equipment.

Product Review I just received this guitar yesterday and I could not put it down. I sat down with it and 3 hours just flew by. I have been wanting buy this guitar since it first came out. I wanted a guitar for drop C tuning and this one fills that roll perfectly. No sharp fret edges, beautiful finish, and a nice setup right out of the box. I did have to raise the low E string just a tad to alleviate a little bit of sting buzz but now it sings perfectly. Satin neck feels great, intonation is right on, and the pick ups sound fantastic both for high gain and clean tones. I own a couple Strandbergs,a couple ESP LTD's, a couple Ibanez, and a fender strat so I have a bunch of other brands to compare it too and this is going to be one of my favorites. AMS took my order at 2pm with no shipping cost and I had the guitar the next day. Very happy with this guitar and the transaction. Thanks AMS!

Product Review So I got this guitar as a minor blemish. I'd been waiting for a while for one, so I had to get it while I could. In typical PRS fashion, of course it's amazing. I just wasn't prepared for how much I was going to love it. Low action, easy playability and incredible sound, due to the fantastic pickups. The coil tap is also very useful. Rock solid tuning as well. A little bit different than your normal PRS SE line. I can definitely see myself playing it for years to come.

Product Review First I am a big fan of Mark, and PRS guitars. So I invested on this signature model. The guitar came ready to play out of the box. The setup was perfect. It came tuned to Drop C which is exactly what I was looking for. The pickups Sound great, the finish is beautiful, and it sounds just as good as my 2500.00 PRS. So I greatly recommend this guitar.

Product Review I love this guitar. Not a fan of the artist neccesarily but I was looking for something that was really good at heavy stuff as well as some dynamic cleans. The pickups are super nice. The bridge is super comfortable. The satin neck is a really nice touch.

Product Review I have been waiting to buy this guitar for a while and finally pulled the trigger, and I am quite happy with it so far! The pro’s: The neck is a perfect size for my hands. I can fret chords normally, as well as using my thumb to wrap around for some crazy chord options. The pickups sound fantastic with a ton of gain, a little crunch, and sparkling clean with delays and reverbs, I think these are my favorite part for sure. The finish is awesome, the purple is definitely better in person than the photos show, it is a very muted purple, not overbearing at all. The con’s: No locking tuners. I know others have said it, but for $1,000 this guitar should come standard with locking tuners. This definitely causes some tuning stability issues, especially with lower gauge strings on it, even in Drop C. The nut, as others have mentioned could use some work or replacing. I am going to file it a little more myself before I decide to replace it completely. Overall I love the shape of the guitar, the playability, the way it sits on my body when sitting or standing. The neck is just so playable, I am definitely loving this guitar!

Product Review Thought this guitar was gonna be my main for metal but it was pleasantly surprising that it can do about anything you wanna play. The pickups have enough output to do any genre of metal but not too saturated that it couldn't do anything else

Product Review I've played higher end PRS guitars (in the 2k range) and always loved them. The Mark Holcomb model really stood out to me so I ordered it. This guitar played really well straight out of the box and sounded excellent with the Alpha and Omega pickups. I set the guys to my specs and it's probably one of the best guitars I've ever played. The plastic nut that comes with the guitar is horrific.I changed it to a graphtec and made a huge difference.

Product Review Out of the box, this guitar is simply amazing. Aesthetically, it is beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. AMS shipped it safely and quickly and it arrived blemish-free. It plays as great as it looks. The push/pull pot allows for expanded tonal range with tons of clarity. The Alpha/Omega pickups, which I also have in a 7 string are versatile and could be suited for a range of clean and high gain tones. This guitar ended up being everything I hoped it would be and I am 100% happy with it and with the purchase experience with AMS.

Product Review The only thing I disliked about this guitar out of the box was the nut; which was promptly replaced with a TUSQ nut. Now that the con is put aside, lets talk about this instrument. First, the 20" fretboard radius feels amazing to someone who enjoys the feel of a flat fretboard. The fret work on this bad boy was absolutely perfect, not a single sharp edge to be found. Next, these pickups are insanely versatile. They can do anything you want them to do, from sludgy drop tuned riffs, to intricate, complex lead lines all the way some nice blues tones. The coil tap offers a really nice single coil sound, although I wouldn't go as far as saying they have a "true" single coil sound. PRS designed tuners seem to get a bad rap, but my guitar seldom goes out of tune after changing out the nut. I bend my strings pretty often, so I'd say they aren't too shabby considering the rest of the features this instrument has to offer at its price point. All in all, its a wonderful instrument and I have already recommended it, as well as PRS guitars in general, to other people. For the price point, you're getting an excellent instrument you'll be satisfied with everytime you play it.

Product Review I knew it was good, But I didn't know it was this good! American Musical was amazing on customer service. The PRS SE Mark Holcomb is such a sweet sounding guitar. The pickups are flawless and it just feels so good to play. PRS doesn't cut corners on this one! The neck is a perfect shape for soft playing and rocking out. I have had it for about 6 months and it just keeps impressing.

Product Review Its a great guitar. Two of the deciding factors for buying this specific guitar are the HOT Seymour Duncan "Alpha" "Omega" pickups and the "Wide-Thin" PRS neck. I picked one of these up at another dealer and immediately fell in love with the neck. Perfect for my stubby little fingers! I have a Strat and wanted to get a more "kick a**" axe. Hotter pick-ups, hard tail bridge, three way selector, This fits the bill. First I called AMS to ask about PRS's quality control and I was told it was top notch. The guitar was delivered to me in perfect condition, although I had to adjust the neck just a hair...no biggie.

Product Review Wow Just Wow, much better than I expected as it is much better than a standard SE model and so much easier to play. The neck is flat, but not as flat as an Iron Label Ibanez, but close and it just feels perfect for phrasing your notes. PRS did am amazing job here the pickups are mean and can still clean up well. One of the best guitars I have played in the price range. Rock on Mark, thanks PRS this one is a keeper!!! Elric Phares Tech Of Tomorrow

Product Review I was very excited to receive this guitar as I had played several of them and was in live with them. Upon receiving mine, which was packaged very well, I unzipped the included gig bag to find that the zippers are broken. They dont zip or stay zipped, and they bind. Okay, not a huge deal. I removed the guitar from the bag to find that it was covered in smudges and finger prints, and there was an accumulation of dirt or...whatever on the fretboard and around the frets. It looked like a guitar that had been played quite a bit and then stuffed into a box and shipped to me. Keep in mind, I ordered a brand new guitar, and what arrived is an almost two year old demo model (age indicated by serial number). Straight out of the box, the action was high. Ridiculously high. Like almost 1/2 inch at the 12th fret. The intonation was appalling, each string being almost a half step sharp. The neck had so much bow in it I dont know how it didn't crack. The cheap plastic nut is one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen on any guitar, let alone one costing $1k. The slots for the D and G strings were cut far too low so the strings were buzzing at the first fret. And the second. And the third. The nut was filed poorly and had little plastic bits hanging off, and I can see where whoever was filing the nut gouged the fretboard at the first fret. If this were a $300 guitar, I would be disappointed. At THIS price, I am furious. I know my guitar is a fluke because I've owned and played other PRS guitars and I have dealt with AMS in the past and have never been disappointed. But this is beyond ridiculous. I shouldn't have to spend hours upon hours working on a $1k guitar to get it to be playable.

Product Review Perfects setup and tuning out of the box for my bands tuning (drop C). Everything you could want in a strong heavy music guitar. Fret board with binding and birds belongs on higher priced series. Timers are dead stable. Bridge is simple but smooth and not intrusive or rough on the picking hand. Flames top, coil tap. Dimarzio alpha omega are great and you don’t need or would want to spend 350 bucks to upgrade. Used this live and studio and it stacks up with any K brand guitars that are 3 times the price. Could not ask for anything besides maybe they could toss in a hard case at this price point but it seems most guitar makers are shifting to bags. The bad is quality at least. Even if you’re not into signature models because of all the ebmblazing of the players names and bands, simply grab - 2 dollars trust rod cover.. Cheaper than your phone bill with AMS payments. Pretty sure no other guitar come in this juicy brisket looking finish. Satin finish on back of the

Product Review Excellent guitar, impeccable workmanship, I couldn't find a scratch, ding or blemish. It reminded me of the quality I saw when I purchased my Gibson Les Paul Custom in 1977. The frets are nicely polished and the balance is good. Unlike an SG it stays where you put it without killing your back. The finish is excellent, be careful when you open it as the pics online don't do it justice. It's a beautiful guitar that plays and sounds great. the neck is a little on the chunky side but not quite as thick as a '58 Paul, don't let anyone tell you it's a "thin" neck. String spacing is also much like a LP Custom and not crowded like some other popular models. The Seymour Duncan's are a bit ballsier than typical PRS EMG's, especially the bridge position. They also do well when playing clean. The tuners and bridge are solid. The ebony fretboard, while not as black as some ebony, is just as slick. My biggest gripe is it's not made in the USA. Don't wait like I did, buy it!

Product Review This guitar is the perfect metal guitar. The bridge sits flat enough to not hinder your hand and the neck is wide and flat like a Les Paul. The pick up's are custom shop SD's and run for 300.00 alone. it has coil tapping and the knob's look way cool. The only problem I found with this guitar is that you are going to want to change the cheap nut that they skimped on to put the more expensive pick up's on it. The nut is total crap and a graphite of composite will fix that problem and then the guitar will be perfect.

Product Review I ordered this yesterday morning and it's already in my hands. I've owned a few PRS's and the SE models And this Holcomb model is by far my most favorite. Five seconds after playing the Holcomb model it becomes apparent the secret to Mark Holcomb's finger trapeze antics is largely thanks to the 20" compound radius. It's flat flat flat and is absolutely amazing. It takes almost zero hand pressure to chord or play leads. No matter how complex the chord pattern I never found myself struggling. Actually my wrist is sprained at the moment from work and I felt zero passion or discomfort from playing on this wonderfully perfect neck. The alpha and omega pickups are very much the icing on the cake here. They're super beefy, commanding, concise and have the clarity of a high end single coil set. These are designed for down tuned crushing riffs and are still ultra nuanced to convey the most dynamic of clean and lead parts. Pull the trigger on this. You won't be disappointed.
