we just want a interface that do basic suff as well as the stuff you want to make it do..i had to install the software just to get the basic drivers and then uninstall software and keep driver on my pc..just had a hard time with this thing at boot up.. had to restart 3 or 4 times before interface hook up, i sent back and upgraded to one that cost more, dont want to say what kind it is but i will say its not me it was them.. my new one works great and got the basics down right,,

This interface replaces my Focusrite 2i2 and I am very pleased. I have an older Mac that still utilizes USB and researched all the options before selecting this Presonus.
The unit is solid and connects to my computer right out of the box - no hassle or complicated configurations needed to get it to synch up.
I just tracked a new song and am blown away with the improved sound quality over my last interface. Pre amps and convertors are clean and super quiet. Vocals and acoustic guitars sound amazing.
If you are on the fence about this one, don't be - pick this one up!

I recently upgraded to two of the Presonus 1824c interfaces to capture my entire drum kit and right away I noticed how clean the preamps were. The sound and gain before noise was amazing to where minimum processing is needed to get clarity. The only draw back is they don’t talk to one another through the optical ports, but with a little finesse, I was able to get the full use of both interfaces.

Great sound and a great value! USB port on the back is sensitive and would loose connection if cable was pulled a little or bumped. Only and issue while I was in the process on figuring out how I wanted all the sends. In the rack all hooked up its fantastic. Not even really worth complaining about but hey it had to 50 characters. Wish I would have pulled the trigger on this sooner. Night and day difference from my little usb mixer.

I’m very pleased with the Presonus 1824c. Since the world is becoming pretty much virtual this interface has been able to make it happen for me at church. I’ve been able to cut my choir and band quickly and and have been able to keep up with my workload.

I love this unit! Right out the box I was able to get right to it! I love the sleek design and awesome color scheme. Not just good looks though, very intuitive unit as well. A must have for any music producer, at any level! I would definitely recommend it to everybody. I've only had a few months now and already i'm contemplating picking up the big brother version!

I recently purchased an early 2009 mac pro and needed to replace my quantum 2626 only because of thunderbolt incompatibility. I was able to install a USB-c PCI-e card into my pro and that gave me the chance to still utilize a presonus interface, and like clockwork the 1824c is working flawlessly. I can never go wrong with presonus. 10 years strong.

I’ve always been a presonus guy with even studio one and all the way back to their Tube pre amps and they NEVER disappoint on a new product! Clean XMAX pre ams and great latency on this. I added a USB-C port to my computer for this and it worked right away with little to no hiccups aside from re routing my ins and outs. I can only imagine what their next interface is gonna be like ! ANS is BEYOND awesome when buying gear too by the way if you are first timer.

Great sound, and the power it has is insane! I’ve always had presonus products for my studio and honestly I tried veering off a little and go a UA or Steven Slate route but for the money, THIS THING IS A BEAST!! American Musical is also SUUUUPER fast at getting your gear out to you too by the way!

The clarity I now have in my recordings are far more superior the presonus audiobox(of course)!! The numerous outputs will give you more options of where you want the audio distributed including the 2 headphone Jack's are a nice added touch!! I could go on and on,its worth every penny!!

I’ve had my recording studio business for almost 40 years, now. Started in 1979 with a Tascam 40-4, then quickly realized I needed more tracks, so I got an 80-8, and did a lot of advertising jingles and produced a lot of records with it. I remember the days of editing by cutting and splicing tape...piles of tape at my ankles. Then came MIDI, and did a lot with that. Then came digital recording and after using a Micro Technology Unlimited rig for several years, I changed formats again, and have done amazing things with Cakewalk Sonar for over 20 years. Then came Presonus! I knew immediately that would be my next recording format. I’ve watched Presonus evolve and grow, and watched the evolution of what was then the 1818-VST, into the Studio 1824-C, and finally made the switch! Now, as a composer/producer, I can do more than I’ve ever dreamed! Thanks, Presonus! I’m amazed and delighted! Talk about smooth, intuitive workflow! The sky’s the limit! If anyone is trying to decide, go with Presonus! You’ll be glad you did! All I can say, is WOW!, after all these years, finally, somebody ‘s got it right!

I had been using a audio box usb but needed more inputs. This thing is awesome and gives me enough inputs for anything I'll need. Zero latency, high quality sound with no artifacts in the audio. One thing I might add is the preamps aren't as loud as could be. If you're using a Shure SM7B you'll need a Cloud Lifter. All in all I give it 9/10.

Great metal chasis! Soft professional knobs. Zero latency monitoring with Universal Control. 8 ins and plenty of outputs. Studio One is a hybrid of the top fav. daws out there and more.. and definitely the best price on the market for this type of interface . Love it!
