Product Review 1n 1986 My first studio was a four track, and a bass with a cool roland key board, since then I have hjad several othertyos of equipment in my home studio, I had the roland 1680 , I had the pro tolls Mbox, cheap one though, I had another inner face by focusrite, they were all cool, but the Board the 16.02 Takes my studio to another Level. I have the abilty to create great sounds as a creator and the 16.20 has the abilty to take my creation and turn it into radio quality music, I use this board in My home studio, you can here samples, the first song I will release to itunes in a week or two with this board will be a track that I have had trouble with!! it is on itunes now listen now and Listen after it will hit radio with this board, The song is Honey Girl

Product Review Well built, excellent fit and finish. I using this for my DJ and live sound business with an eye towards recording and music production. If you're coming from the analog world, you'll have a short learning curve. I used to utilize an external equalizer and compressor. Not anymore, equalizing, compression, limiting, 2 effects engines, it's everything I want in one package. When you consider the cost of an analog board with this many inputs, all the external processing gear, and the live/recording software (which is included with this mixer), It's a tremendous value!

Product Review I was fortunate enough to get this as a scratch and dent for $699 and saved $300. This thing blows my Mackie ProFX mixer away easily. The difference in sound quality isn't even close. My nearfield monitors sound better, my PA speakers sound better with less power applied to them. They sound musically punchier and smoother than ever. There's plenty of headroom when setting levels because the preamps are incredibly clean. The rule of thumb is not let signals go into the red with digital recording, however this mixer defies all the rules. to top it of it's extremely easy to operate. I tried the the Presonus Remote software on my ipad at a live event and didn't even need to run a snake box for the the cables from the stage to the mixer to position the mixer in the sweet spot. I left the mixer on stage and used the ipad to set levels at the front of house. No more having to be a slave to the mixers location to get optimum listening position. Awesome feature.

Your general opinion of this product. For small audio demands, this console is ideal as it contains all the processing you'll need, and then some. Considering the only control interfacing to date is firewire, Presonus took some major penalty points from me regarding compatibility friendliness. Audio quality has always been excellent with Presonus so no arguments here. The product is straight forward regarding use. Being that there are no fader layers nor motorized faders, it eliminates the confusion but that can be overcome. It's about knowing your gear inside and out combined with discipline. The features it comes with are worth the time. I'm just being picky in the concept of its control compatibility. Not everyone can afford computers, particularly laptops with firewire capabilities or the hoops that must be jumped through to get it. Presonus could've been a bit more lenient in that regard and made full MIDI control available. Also it couldn't hurt to have configured the EQ to be capable of adjustable bandwidth on all bands. The console may be small, but that should not affect the size of options. Tonality is solid. The past Presonus products I have owned never gave me any problems after owning them for 3 years. I anticipate this product will pass that record as long as it is properly maintained.

i luv everthing about it and its made really well. its not lite and made cheap it has good weight and is pretty solid THE FAT CHANNEL, AND THE MIDI SETUP FOR A MIDI KEYBOARD OR EFFECTS EVERYTHING IS SETUP FOR YOU TO REALLY LOOK LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOIN. A CHILD COULD WORK IT rich and full i havent had it long but this is somethin that i will be gettin a case for just to make sure Your general opinion of this product. IF YOUR JUST RECORDS AND USING IT AS A DAW ITS REALLY GOOD... IF YOUR USING IT FOR STUDIO AND LIVE ITS INSANE. ONE PERSON CAN SOUND LIKE A FULL BAND..

built well Best features are good footprint, good preamps and ease of use for live and studio. Bad are sample rates are a bit low but human ear can't really hear past 44.1 anyway Very easy to use straight out of box. Once you "get" the Fat Channel it's smooth sailing. Sounds good for the price for sure. Haven't had it long enough for response Your general opinion of this product. Great product so far

studiolive really does say it all!

Cant testify to that yet but I play out alot and if I get 3 or 4 yrs use out it glitch free, then it will be the best money spent. it pretty much has it all and more than you will probably ever need to use. The added bonus is because it is "digital" it limits are almost endless. Presonus will be continually adding features that can be downloaded to the mixer as they become available. You cant do that with an analog mixer! I just wish they would get the i-pad app. up and running for it. The capture software is awesome and we have been able to make some pro level mixdowns using the included studio one artist software. Just be forewarned the studione artist does not have mastering so you cannot burn a cd. That will cost you another $199.00 unless you already have the pro version for recording. use of the studiolive is definetly not going to be easy for a novice or anyone who's unfamiliar with how effects and signal processing works. For those that are, this mixer is going to blow your mind! Absoulutely the best. Our sound has never been this good. We use an IEM system, and its like we are in the studio everytime we play. The ability to make personal stereo monitor mixes is leaps ahead of what you will get from an analog board. Another added bonus is the sound quality of the board is so good that we have struck our backline and eliminated all guitar and bass amps. We use pre-maps run direct. Rocktron prophesy for guitar & line 6 bass pod. all mounted one one sweet rolling rack with quality powered speakers. setup & tear down time is now 30 to 40 mins. We have all the local musicians scratching they're heads. The sound is HUGE! so far so good. Your general opinion of this product. Its like Mcdonalds, I'm lovin it!
