You need a full Presonus Studio Live Console to get full functionality. Get the AVB switch and have an acceptable router. If you don't have this? expect limited functionality. This product is an add on for the desk or a stage box with some limited on sight dawless recording functions. Plan on committing to the desk and the personal mixers. Once you have the gull package of products. The console, the switch, an acceptable wireless router and the monitor mixer or mixers, you have an A room, B room With serious recording options. If you take these same tools live you can put on a really serious show. Bottom line its going to cost you, but its the least expensive option for dsp mixing for studio and stage currently available. Save and Buy.

This rack mount mixer is really incredible. Just download the control app and you have full control over your digital mixer. Use the app to set up each channel, you can use a gate, choose from several types of compressors and your favorite vintage and new styles of equalizers. Lots of bang for the buck in this top of the line professionally sounding mixer. You will not be sorry for buying this one.

Seriously, take a minute to understand what this unit does...same mixing platform as their most expensive decks, outstanding software, extremely easy to use, the same Class A XMAX mic pres as the full boards, the ability to use this as a stage box, combo inputs, SD card input and the new plug ins...all in a single space rack unit. It’s easily the most ridiculously valuable purchase I’ve made in the last decade.
It sounds phenomenal and it’s really easy to set up and learn to use. As someone who does 200 shows a year, I’d say I’ve given this unit as much diversified testing as possible; from full band, trio, acoustic and DJ/speaker platforms.
If I had to list one criticism, it would be the last four inputs being on the back. Honestly though, that’s just looking for a negative needle in a haystack of greatness. This single rack space board outperforms everything in its class by miles. Best bang for the buck of ANY live sound gear I’ve ever purchased in my 16 years of running sound.
As a glorious one up to all other competitors they throw in Studio One and Capture...insane!
