I started out learning on this board. I also own the pro touch 30. Definitely happy with both mixers. If you're unsure of going digital..... this is the board to learn on in my opinion. Absolutely recommend this mixer to anyone starting out digital. One side note......if you use these boards when the temperature is hot.....I have fans for my boards to keep them from overheating

This is my 2nd QSC touchmix16. I used the first one for a couple years and sold off to an middle school installation still working perfectly and sounding completely transparent. If you are like me and grew up moving 20 space mix-top racks with Allen and Keith Mix Wizards or Mackie VLZ type analog mixers with all of the accompanying EQs, Comps, Gates, Fx and copper multipair then you owe it to yourself to step into the future. I looked at all kinds of dsp based digital mixers and the truth is that they are all great but with the built in touchscreen and the backup convenience of the 'Big Knob' you will become instantly spoiled by the rich and numerous conveniences the touchmix has bundled into a sleek and compact professional mixer. Do yourself the favor, if your considering making the change...jump right in, the waters fine! Pro tip: absolutely spring for a new top of the line iPad or similar, it will make all the difference as the remote pad is going to be your home. Ideally one iPad stationed with the mixer is the mixer in its true form and a second primary remote iPad mini or phone is your ticket to eq'ing monitors and building monitor mixes from the stage or podium. All of this said, a robust WIFI router is in order and you should be on a hidden network to keep audience member phones from constantly pinging your control system.

Having used a multitude of mixers previously, I can honestly say this is thee best gigging mixer I've ever owned! The only way I'll ever replace it is if they make a better version of it. I'm not by any stretch of the imagination a "sound engineer" but this mixer sure does make you feel like one! With a basic knowledge of live sound mixing you too can easily get around in this digital mixer. This is a huge mixing machine in a small package, you'll be nothing but happy you made the purchase!

I love the TouchMix 16! It rivals the x32 and similar digital mixers in many ways and surpasses them in ease of use and portability.
Equipped with high quality mic preamps, eq, compressor, noise gates, and all the other whistles and bells. Easy menu system, wonderfully practical channel presets for most every instrument make it excellent for a quick setup and you’re ready to play. You can record a stereo 2 track of gig onto a flash drive, or make multi-track recording onto a usb hard drive. I love it’s ability to also save scenes for different setups which you can recall bypassing the need to do a complete setup. It’s light, and has a small footprint for great portability. 16 channels of inputs and many aux sends for monitoring make it a definite winner in my book. I highly recommend this mixer to any working professional musician!

This is my 3rd digital mixer. And this one is ny far the easiest use. Not only that it sounds great out the box. You will not be disappointed if you spend your hard earned money on this piece of gear.
I have only the touchmix for a month and i am already comfortable using it in public. I am a novice at best. This mixer makes me feel like i can mix with the pros..
Don't be afraid to go online and check out the training videos. They helped me on my decision to purchase thus mixer. It also helped me learn about all the features of Touchmix

There was a 6 piece band in the middle of their first set when disaster struck. The backdrop (which was mine) was knocked over and smashed into a glass door. Now I'm on site with no other sound tech in sight, just me and my 14 year old daughter.
With the band playing on, I had to react fast. So I sat my daughter down and gave her the quickest and shortest training ever. All 16 inputs and 2 stereo ins were being used, I thought she would be overwhelmed. However, the Touch 16 is user friendly, she quickly learned how to adjust house volumes and adjust monitor mix.
When the band ended their set, my daughter then muted all the mics and selected the stereo ends and started the music. When I returned all she could say is that this is so easy to use. Her first time behind a digital board, in a live setting, and with very little instruction. Sure, my daughter's intellect played a role, but it was the ease of use of this board that resulted in a successful show. Before that situation, I was considering a Allen Heath 32, but now I want the QSC Touch 30.

This mixer has got to be one of the best if not the best out there. The sound quality is amazing. The capabilities are unreal. I have a little bit of prior experience with analog mixers. Even though there is so much depth to this mixer it is still fairly easy to use. There's a ton I still need to learn. I use this for broadcasting an online radio show as well as DJing live gigs. The 2 times I used this during live gigs, I have had friends come up and say dang it sounded good tonight. I'm sure someone with more experience than myself would beyond enjoy this. I at first bought the Touchmix 8 but realized I needed the Touchmix 16. I definitely do not regret it. Its an amazing product you wont be disappointed.

I already have the Touchmix 8 and I love it. The 16 is everything and so much more ! Fast easy setup and so easy to use. You can't help but fall in love with it. The EQ's and FX's are easy to use and sound amazing. I love that I can save my settings so the next gig is a fast easy setup and all I need to do is make a walk around the room with my Ipad and make slight adjustments to complete my setup. I bought this thing thinking my brother knew all about it. So when It came down to using it and calling him on some advice , needless to say he didn’t know much about it.
So he directed me to a rep from qsc and I literally learned how to use this thing over the phone. I had it on ten minutes and boom I was mixing a show!! Very impressed with the quality of this unit, and I now use it while I’m djing. I never knew how easy this baby was to use . The most awesome feature is the Fact that I can set it up next to the stage and walk around with my IPad and make adjustments!! It saved me money on a snake !
Buy it, you won’t rgret it. The preset function is a HUGE game changer, no more guessing . Has a setting for male and female vocals, guitars , kick drum.
I have gained more knowledge about sound alone because of this thing and also more gigs because of how profesional it looks on my table.

The unit failed after I first received it and I took it into the QSC service center in I think Costa Mesa and they gave me a new logic board and replaced some other parts and also loaded the very latest software and it has performed beautifully from there on out. Also when I call QSC for assistance for anything that I do not understand, they take the time to explain it to me in a way that makes sense and that has been extremely helpful.

I bought this to replace a mixer by a different maker. The Touchmix 16 is so easy to use and out performs my old mixer by far. The 6 monitor mixes and the additional outs on top are great for iPods. I spent about a year researching digital mixers. I started with the TouchMix 16, and ended with it. I almost went with several other options but the TouchMix 16 had a built-in touch screen, which saved me money on an external monitor (ie. Ipad or other). Built-in WiFi, touchscreen, and every effect I'll ever need made this unit exactly what I needed. I play in an acoustic duo so I don't need too many channels, but with AMS' easy payment, I bought the 16 just in case I need to mic a full band in the future.

Okay, I'm definitely not an audiophile. But...I know I wanted the best and QSC has the best products on the market, imo. I wanted a mixer that was just as capable of firing up my whole band as it was simple for me to plug and play my solo and duo gigs. Sure 'nuff does! I wasn't very acclimated to analog mixers, so a few people thought I was cray-cray for making a substantial purchase into the digital world. Well, I'm definitely happy that I went digital and will argue my case as often as necessary. With the built-in instruction manual and the pure ease of features such as the "Simple" mode and the wide variety of built in effects, this mixer had me sounding like I'd been using it for years...by the 3rd time I used it (might've had something to do with the kick-ass K10's I bought too). I was on the fence about purchasing the Bose thing, but I've never been "wowed" by it when I hear it and I wanted a system with balls that a good sized audience could feel in their bones. That it does!

Truly a versatile mixer, the smart comes from the fact that you can program "scenes" into the mixer memory that save your exact labels and settings for each channel perfectly. This application is truly a life-saver when gigging with different acts or at different venues. Say for example you play several large rooms that require less reverb and one really small one that you need to drench the channels to give it some depth. Well, the TouchMix16 (or 8) has the ability to save your settings for each room and label it so you can recall each scene every time you go back to the venue. I also love it because I play in an acoustic duo and a 3 piece band. The labels are all different as are the instruments, so when I recall a scene, it brings back all the according labels and settings. This is a HUGE improvement over older mixers. FX can be programmed individually to each channel so if you want delay on vocals, DONE, reverb on guitar, DONE, compressor on drums, DONE.

This is a great product! A very affordable option to enter the world of digital mixing. You can't get 16 channels of analog mixing with 8 aux, all with separate compression, EQ and effects for $1300, let along 16 channels of digital with dynamics for that price. I'm also extremely impressed by the quality of the sound. I can go pretty loud, much louder than I ever could with my analog rig, without feedback or distortion. The sound remains crisp and clear. Being able to have different settings of EQ, compression and effect in every channel and aux without needing separate processors for each channel is priceless. The one thing I'm not impressed by is the reach and quality of the wireless dongle. I can't get more than 15 ft before the connection to my iPad starts going on and off and beyond 25 ft I can't even connect anymore. Something has to be done about that.

Very nice first attempt a touchscreen mixer by QSC. I can see a few refinements that could be made. Tabs and functions that could be made a bit more obvious with a few changes to the graphics on the screen.
The output calibration presets are decidedly geared toward QSC powered speakers and that's understandable but a f"lat" or generic speaker preset would have been nice.
I like the sound of this mixer. It sounds very open and less pinched sounding than say a Mackie or Behringer mixer. I know that Greg Mackie was involved in this mixer's design but it doesn't sound like a Mackie product to me.
Not quite as "Grab And Go" as an analog mixer but that's to be expected with a mixer like this and I'm sure that a few firmware updates down the road and it'll be even better.

This Board is incredible. Easy to use, light and portable but no toy. It's powerful and complements other QSC gear. Just spending a little bit of time reading the manual and setting up the channels, you will be off and running. Have used this board at our performance this past weekend, and it worked beautifully. The best part of all, is no more snake to lift on and lug around. Using the connection from the board to the Ipad is genius. It worked, and worked well. Our sound tech was able to run front of house sound from anywhere in the room by using the ipad. The monitor sends worked great as well. five different monitor mixes for our group, and everyone had just the right mix. So far, this board gets 5 gold stars. But, I'm not surprised. Everything QSC makes, it top notch. And, American Musical Supply shipped this out right away. I've come to rely on their fast service.

I don't have one yet. But this is the coolest digital mixer I have seen in a long time. Small and light with all of the EQs comps, reverbs, delays, etc, I need, built in! I can't wait to get one.
If this is like other QSC products it's going to be great!
