Quilter BlockDock 10TC, size doesn't always matter

Product Rating Product Review This is like a Princeton, but 5 times louder. I use it with my Quilter Mini Head, the original one without reverb. With this cabinet, which houses a 10 inch, 100 watt Celestion speaker, plus the XLR direct out, you could play in just about any club, church, anything but heavy metal. I use it with a compact Fly Rig, which gives me 3 channels. It's extremely easy to mount the mini head to the cabinet, and that essentially makes this a combo amp. I was a little concerned about the closed back, but I think, for this speaker, the closed back makes it extremely punchy and dynamic. I've also combined it with a high power 12" speaker cabinet, and honestly, that's loud enough for just about any gig. If I was being picky, I would wish for a little more top end, and a little less low mids. But I use a Voodoo Labs Giggity EQ either in the effects loop, or as the last pedal in my chain, and that sorts everything out. I highly recommend this!

Product Review I have been downsizing my gear, for a few years, due to age/back issues/heart problems. I already have a 101(non-reverb) and love it. Now combining that with this cabinet just became my favorite/go to amp setup. Great tone, light weight, and enough volume for smaller club gigs! At 18 lbs. total (including head, cables, cover) what more could you want. Build quality and shipment packing are better than any other mfgr. I'm already thinking of how I can possibly buy the 12" version... Thanks Quilter ! ............ ...And thanks to AMS for shipping (as promised in the listing) to arrive in One Day and on a Sunday to boot !

Product Review I have had the 10TC for about 6 months now and it's really great! I played out as in-house guitarist at a few blues jams and everyone was amazed. With the 202 head was as loud or louder than any of the 12" combos. It can be perfectly clean at high volume, handles turning up the gain, but it's also got great bottom and mids. It's light and the tilt back makes it a player's cab. It beats the BluGuitar Nanocab on tone and volume, and the Mesa 5:25 10" by a long shot. It can go head to head with the Blues Jr with the 60w Jensen or Boogie 12" combos or extension cabs. If that wasn't good enough, I can get a good tone at a volume that's so low my crazy neighbor can't hear it! If I was touring I might be torn between a couple of these vs. the BlockDock 1x12 or 2x8 - decisions, decisions.

Product Review It can't get much better it's a fabulous sounding 10" speaker in a closed back cabinet and all you have to do is slide your Quilter 101 Mini Reverb amp or any of Quilter"s modular amplifiers right into the dock space and you have a 17 pound amp that will easily handle any small gig you have. I would never be without mine and if you play a bigger Room you just use the effects loop send jack and run A-line to the front of house PA. It then works as a great on stage monitor.

Product Review Combined with my 101, or my pro block, this cab will fool you with its diminutive size, and light weight. Don’t be fooled. It puts out real volume, great tone, and a surprising amount of low end. I used it as a back line piece at a festival. The artists were skeptical, until they heard it. Now 3 of the bands want to use Quilter stuff!

Product Review After multiple, varied gigs, I've found my new Quilter Block Dock 10TC has met every expectation. Paired with my Q 101 Mini amp on "Surf" (100 watt) setting, this cab sounds full, balanced & loud enough for most environments. When necessary, I add an open back 1x12" cab loaded w/Eminence 150 watt Swamp Thang for infinite headroom. American Music Supply delivered promptly as promised (back-ordered item). Quilter/AMS RULES!
