Product Rating Product Review I’m not at all a fan of the tone this head provides. The high end and mid range just sounds strange to my ears, but it’s made for an excellent power amp for external preamps.

Product Review I was trying to play Pantera/Dimebag Darrell riff's, with my Marshall Valvestate 100w head, In my old Lab Series 4X12 cabinet. It was close, but not voiced for it. I got this amp for $480.00 on 8 payments, no interest. Close to the sound, but what do you expect for $480.00. I would recommend it.

Product Review I already own quite a few nice high gain heads and bought this primarily to have a randall for a dime sorta style. It's just ok to be honest, not bad but not great. It's all going to come down to what your used to playing through.

Product Review As a long time Randall user I wanted to like this amp, I wanted to love it just as much as my old Randall RG combo I've had for going on 25 years now. Nope. Sadly that isn't the case with this head. After playing it for about 2 weeks at low volume CH2 started to sound weird. It was like the gain started to go in and out. Sounded weak. Reverb isn't good, either, possibly the worst sounding reverb ever. Some days CH2 was fine and others it wasn't. CH1 and CH3 sounded fine. Also something was rattling around inside the amp. The quality of these amps are terrible and way, way over priced. Feels cheap. At most when it is working like it should this is a $349 amp, no more. I think I am done buying anything new from Randall. There are much better and cheaper choices out there. And for those that are giving good reviews must haven't had any problems with theirs, yet. AMS was quick about the return process, so that's why I gave my review 2 stars.

Product Review I don’t play as well through tube amps so I prefer solid state. As a classic hard rock to early metal guy I need a high gain amp and this does the trick. I like three channels and a clean clean and a good thick distortion sound. This brings what I like.

Product Review I've own a RG80 combo for a number of years. I take it to jam sessions along with my pedal board consisting of a Boss SOD or a GHS Greenie. Sounds great for 80s/ classic rock tunes. So, I hooked this head to my Marshall 1960A w 75s and struggle to get something similar. After a month, channel 2 is worthless. In time a will figure out the secret sauce. I should have have waited for the EVH 5150 or a 6505. I don't want much. Just a nice Thin Lizzy tone and don't want to haul my Engl preamp and Carvin Tube Power Amp or my JMP 50. I want a real easy rig for my next live project. Got a lot of pedals to try. May end up using a REVV in the FX loop. We'll see. Btw,it's loud and channel 3 is smokin'.

Product Review I wanted something newer and lighter, but still powerful. I was playing through a heavy 20 year old crate blue Voodoo half stack, but it was time for a new one. I bought this Randall half stack, and was amazed at the smaller size it was compared to normal 4x12's. This head pushes power and has 3 channels which I was looking for. Clean, dirty, and channel 3 for my lead boost. An awesome footswitch comes with it. This is my first Randall and I love it!!!

Product Review Wanna get that dime tone or go clean for a awesome tone with plenty of power this is it. Its a mix between the randall es series and the warhead and its a beast! Love the fx loop the reverb gonna start recording with it soon using Linux based DAW tube screamer really sets this thing off using channel 3

Product Review This beast cranks for a solid state head. Second to none for scooping the mids and getting that groove metal tone. Plug in your favorite hardware and it also sounds good while reproducing any style you want. No need drain the bank to get a quality head!

Product Review I have always wanted a Randall Amp but have never had the means or opportunity to purchase one until now. There are pros and cons to this amp but the props most definitely outweigh the cons. Pros Amp's 3 channels make it very easy to switch between genres of music Clean channel is very crisp and other channels have enough "punch" to knock your socks off Buttons are well organized for ease of use and user functionality Built in bass boost and mid scoop make this amp unique Cons The only problem i have found is that it sometimes requires a noise gate in the effects loop as playing at higher gain settings sometimes causes it to hum. Though this is a solid state i feel as if it competes well with higher end tube amps. Overall this is amp is definitely worth the money.

Product Review First off let me start out by saying American Musical truly is amazing. A legit Grade A company that offers a payment plan with ZERO interest!! I don’t know about you but I’m a single parent with little kids running around. Unfortunately I don’t have a few hundred bucks laying around. BUT i DO have an extra few bucks at the end of the month so a payment plant is just what I needed. Now on to the amp. Think 1998. Pantera. Dimebag Darrell. ‘Nuff said. This amp will give you 100 watts of paint pealing gain driving power. If you dislike your neighbors like I do, do yourself a favor and buy this. I think mine are starting to pack now. Mission accomplished.

Product Review I bought this as a solid state backup to my Randall Diavlo tube amp and now I’m thinking about using the RG for some practices and shows depending on setlist and using both to record my Instrumental stuff. The sound is tight and full and sounds great with my 6, 7 and 8 string guitars. I’ve seen others review this amp and dislike the clean and channel 2 gain tones, but I disagree. The clean is exactly that and with a little effect and pickup selection sounds great. While channel 2 doesn’t have the overall sound of channel 3, it makes for a great cut distortion tone if you roll back on the gain a bit to add another dimension. Overall I love the RG for clean, rhythm and lead tones with just a little added effects here and there.

Product Review Like I said for the price it’s a solid rig. For 100w solid state it pulls plenty of volume to keep up with my band and I can take it to gigs where I don’t feel like bringing my expensive tube amp. It’s definitely a metal / hardcore rig the cleans are descent and get the job done but the drive channels are where this thing thrives with a little push in the mids it cuts through the mix really well.
