Product Review Thought it was great amp takes a min to get used too channel 2 sounds horrible unless you have a pedal or eq to sculpt the tone channel 3 however is worth the amp sounds crisp an lound I eliminated my distortion from my chain an just used the amps channel 3 (with a noise gate) an got a lot less hum an extra noise also has dimes tone capability if you know how to sculpt it right over all great amp only gave 4 stars because of channel 2 buzzy fuzz sound with a pedal sounds great but comes with tones of gain I have a decimater 2 had to be almost maxed

Product Review I ordered this amp because I just wanted something new. I have a carvin x100b, a line 6 240 modeling amp and an old 100 watt Yamaha from the 70s.... love all of them but this Randall is sweet. I like the 3 channels, the foot switch and the sound is very pleasing. However this amp is heavy but I dont play professionally so I am fine with that. It is nice that it comes with casters though. Very solid amp, very quiet just make sure you have good cables and the electronics in your guitar are operating correct.

Product Review This amp is a BEAST! However, FedEx damaged it in shipping.... Not a fan of FedEx... But the buying process was simple, no complaints about A.M.S. I have neighbors, so I am glad it has a headphone jack!!!

Product Review Must say this is an awesome combo. 2x12 speakers that dish out 150 watts of loud clean tone. I sold my Marshall half stack to down size and this actually sounds better than my old Marshall. The gain is ridiculous (monster) for this series of model. I’m impressed! Worth every penny.

Product Review This amp is a beast for being solid state. I was very impressed with the channel 2 distortion. The channel 3 distortion isn't too shabby either. I prefer more chug in my playing, so channel 2 is ideal for people who enjoy detuning, fast picking, and 8 string slaying. I am currently running a Keeley Filaments through it with a Boss Noise Suppressor. The sound is brutal. I will definitely be acquiring a MXR 10 band EQ soon, to perfectly dial in my preferred tone. But this amp is a great start to getting the deathly, brutal distortion you may be seeking. The clean channel is legit too. I play a Fender Chorus pedal through it, and it sounds fantastic. I love playing my Dimeslime ML through this amp, as well as my Agile 8 string. This amp does great with the lower tuning of the F# and B strings on the 8 string. The notes are distinct, it doesn't sound muddy, and the tones are clear. I would recommend this amp for anyone looking for a brutal tone on a budget. I'm a Disabled Veteran and do not work. So this was right in my price range for a great amp at an affordable price. And with the payment option that AMS offers, where could ya go wrong?

Product Review Randall is very underrated and under promoted. While I don't have an RG1503,I do have an RG-80 that I bought a few years ago and I am so glad I did. It is LOUD,bullet-proof tough, and sounds excellent for a solid state. The metal grill is a great touch. And for the price versus performance, you get much more for the money than you think. My only minor complaint is that my first choice would have been separate tone controls for each channel but you easily can work around that. Besides,so many of the top and ridiculously priced tube amps use the same setup. I remember when these first came out in the 80's,although they have evolved since, and a local Rock Band using them on trial and they sounded amazing then and rocked the house. While actually a Peavey Lover and user for many decades,I am very happy with my Randall and I do highly recommend them for any style of music.

Product Review This amp rocks, although I definitely recommend a noise gate, channel 3 doesn’t even need any additional distortion, great value for the money.

Product Review This amp is very powerful and sounds great. The stock distortion on channels 2 and 3 are solid and give you a lot of versatility to customize your sound. I only use it for the clean channel since I use a processor and effects pedals and it does a great job! It reminds me of the old peavey 5150 I use to have back in the day....solid sound and lots of power in their 2- 12 combo.

Product Review The built in distortion is OK but not great BUT... if you use your favorite overdrive or distortion pedal with the amps built in EQ you can get some of the nastiest modern metal tones with a bass boost button and a mid scoop button its like having a nice eq pedal built right in to your amp.

Product Review My new Randall RG1530-212 is rock solid. Powerful because 150 watts is a lot of power, the custom matched 2x12 speakers in this combo amp scream when pushed and sing a mellow tune when needed. I have been an all tube amp fan for years until It happened, tube loosens in transport turns into a blown tube. What is that $1,200.00 amp worth now. Sure it's an easy fix, but who carries extra tubes around. Randall amps have made it a preference not just an option to use solid state amps. How, you ask? By making a solid state amp that sounds as good and offers hi gain, medium crunch and sparkling clean tones in the same package. The 2x12 custom speakers sound great. Some solid state amps with high wattage and a single speaker sound like a cracker box. The 2x12 solves that problem by spreading all that power through both speakers for a warm, beefy tone. Sparkling high's stay tight with the closed back cabinet. Next purchase is the Randall 2x12 cabinet, so watch out you half-stack guys.

Product Review First, AMS has never made one mistake in many years of business with me, great blessing to have instant credit, quality gear, kind customer service, and payment plans!...Randall RG1503-212, let's face it, these days most amps need at least one outboard efx to assist the amp getting a personal tone. I run guitar thru ART MP/C tube preamp/compressor-limiter straight to this amp. It cleans up the noise noticeably in channels 2 & 3, the presence affected positive dynamics, the gain stage carries harmonics very near like an EL84 loaded 50-100 watt. This two piece ART/Randall set-up I use can run 95% full power. It was still strong and articulate...my room is 99% solid surfaces, lots of right angles, and I found the right settings at low volume-simmer as necessary.....

Product Review This amp gets LOUD. It has tons of tones that can be dialed in. The only thing I dont like about this amp is I wanted to add another 2x12 cab to this to get a HUGE wall of sound. I was told by Randall if you use an extension cab with this the internal speakers automatically shut off. Oh well.

Product Review The amp is worth the money but there are a few things you should know the 1st and 2nd channel are ok but the 3 channel has a very large hum that you can't get rid of it unless you turn the volum down playing an acoustic guitar you get loads of feedback but with an electric guitar you don't . The amp has a lot of power and cranks I will keep it for certain reasons but I would not recommend this smp as a major smp for backup it's ok

Product Review Quality: This amp is EXTREMELY solid for it's ~$500 price-point. It truly is built to last and take some punishment while doing so. The soft finish WILL take damage fairly quickly, though. Other than the soft finish, the build quality is superb. Tone: The Green channel is very nice for a cheaper amp and takes pedals exceedingly well. The bright switch adds a noticeable and sparkly treble bump. The Red channel has an evenly saturated crunch that really holds it's own in moderate-gain riffing. The Blue channel's tone honestly disappointed me. It's very bass heavy and nasally and with a Duncan JB I could not get enough highs to show through for studio recording. Gain: This is a MODERATE gain amp. You can get some heavy crunch but, you will need a gain/boost pedal if you want heavy gain. Stage Ready? Yes. At 3/4 volume, having no trouble keeping up with a Crate Blue-Voodoo halfstack. I highly recommend this amp for bedroom and small-venue playing.
