Just got it in today and was totally surprised at the quality of both practice head and the stand -- much better than I had imagined. The head is tunable, and comes with a tuning tool. Mine sounded pretty good right out of the box, so I didn't waste any time getting started. The stand is great, too, a lot beefier than I'd expected. If you're thinking about getting one of these, this is a good one. An insert says the head can be mounted to most cymbal stands, but recommends the Remo ST-1000-10 stand because it's designed specifically for this head and will help prevent damaging the threaded insert. I'm sure they're right, but I just recommend it because it's a really nice, solid stand and I think you'll dig it, too. Happy practicing!
