I have been a recording engineer for 35 years now. And this bundle from Rode offers everything you need to get started recording quality vocals and instruments. The included shock mount is a great extra to have. The mic itself, is of the highest quality and actually rivals my Neumann mics. The AI-1 interface is perfect. Easy to connect and use.
All in all, this package from Rode is a tremendous bang for your buck.

My most recent purchase was the Rode NT1 microphone
and the usb audio interface thats comes with the package.
I have used it now on two albums for the vocals and it is so much better than what i was using before. The vocals are clear and crisp and sound like what i imagined it should sound like-professional and upfront. I couldn't be happier with all of my purchases with AMS.
Everything i have purchased so far-i have never had a problem with.
I like the fact that they offer payment plans too. You know i purchased a two track Tascam recorder for 99.00$ 2-3 years ago and it is still working. I honestly have a lot of respect for American Musical Supply because they have been honest and have good customer service too.

I gotta say I was skeptical about the ease of operation and of course, the price. Having just gotten out of radio after 20 years, I needed something that would give me the quality I needed to continue doing commercial work in my home studio. It is SO easy to use, the tech guys walked me through set up and boom- I was off to the races. So far I've only recorded into Audacity, but will work on Adobe later. It's a good quality mic for the price, and the customer service through AMS is a bonus. If you need a home studio mic for commercial production, this will do it.

I've worked with different interfaces and mics. For the price this is one of if not the best bang for the buck. Very warm sound, nose levels are low, picks up vocals very very very clear. This is now my go to microphone, it shipped fast and customer service was amazing.

Sound and build quality is amazing. I can’t begin to say how many mics I’ve gone through before finally landing upon these. The added bonus was the interface, it allowed me to get rid of my mixers which helped me simplifly my setup. Well worth every penny!

I recently switched from the Audio Technica ATR2100 to this microphone and I am very happy with the vocal reproduction of this microphone. It has a flat profile that doesn’t try and boost certain frequency ranges as some of the cheaper microphones do. The Ai-1 audio interface that this kit comes with is also very good. It has a very low noise floor. I am very happy with each component of this kit and with the kit as a whole. I highly recommend.
