I bought these for a project that never happened and then sold them on ebay for a little more than half of what I paid. I never used the kit, but the tx and rx units are large, bulky and take batteries. I ended up buying a Saramonic Blink500 Pro B2 system instead, based upon my use of the Saramonic Blink system at my day job. If you have to choose between the two, I believe the Saramonic Blink500 Pro B2 is the better choice.

First things first, this is probably the best purchase I’ve made for my wedding kit to date. The range is absolutely insane (rated 400 feet but I got closer to 800), the battery life lasts all day without issue and the quality it feeds back to my A7III puts all of my shot gun / stereo mics to shame. The lav mic fits perfectly under the officiants lapel, providing clear distinct audio without issue or interference right back to my camera. I’ve tried so many different systems including the new rode mini system that just came out for half the price and there’s a reason it’s half the price. If you’re a filmmaker and need audio to travel over 400 feet across a room or venue, this is the best bang for your buck hands down!

Rode has once again surpass my expectations. This filmmaker mic has definitely surprised me. It gives my interviewees and I the freedom to interact and provide an awesome interview session. It allows for one to be comfortable without having a microphone to hold or shoved in one’s face. It definitely has a clear quality and cuts out all the background noise. I Love it and soon will be purchasing another one.

This is a great product that will not kill the budget. As being my first wireless lav mic setup, I was greatly impressed by the clarity and range of the unit. Came thru in the clutch for a wedding ceremony I just shot. Would definitely recommend this unit.

After trying shotgun mics and other lavalieres or external recorders, this was a refreshing and useful tool to improve the quality of my video productions. The ability to integrate high quality audio with my footage in one has saved me a lot of editing time. However, the main reason you get this is for the wireless feature, high quality audio, and great price. There are awesome options out there but you cant beat this price and the payment flexibility American Musical offers. I plan on buying a second mic soon.
