This was east to set up. Beautiful sound and feel! If you have a beginner in your house, get this Roland. It will not only motivate the piano student in your house to play, it just might motivate everyone else to play too! Delivery from AMS was quick with no problems. 5 days! Will look to for other instruments.

This is a very good all around Digital piano for all skill levels. the the weighted keys and actions are smooth and responsive with great sound out of the box, tons of additional voices through the app. I would highly recomend for beginers and budget minded consumers and no better place to purches but hear at AMS.

Wasn't sure what to expect at this price-point but the piano looks, sounds and feels great. My son is trained for a few years and I'm just a casual noodler, but it's a significant upgrade from our older Korg. While the Casios in this price range have more advertised features, the console on this is much nicer and the increased surface area on top is a nice luxury. Pedals are firm. Haven't messed around much w Bluetooth capability, but my son said it was a breeze. Definitely satisfied.

Great sounding piano. Looks good in our music room. Great features with Bluetooth connectivity and the Rolan application. We are also able to use this with Playground Sessions and an iPad. We are very happy with our purchase from American Musical Supply.

RP102 is a lot like the 501, except it doesn't have the display panel. The display panel on the 501 makes it much easier to control without the remote app, but the 102 is more affordable and of equal quality. I would recommend this to anyone considering the FP series. FP30 has similar controls but doesn't have the pedal systems like the 102. RP102 is better for students learning to use the pedals, but it is also an affordable option for more experienced players. It has more top space than the Casios and Yamahas in this price range and the key response is great!

The key action is very authentic and feels like a real piano. The volume is just enough and sounds fantastic. I bought this as an investment in my daughter's future. She is graduating high school and going to become a music teacher. She has always focused on vocals but now I hear her playing piano everyday as she warms up. This digital piano is easy to assemble and is high quality. I recommend this to anyone interested in learning to play or if you want to advance your playing. There is also an app that is free that works exclusively with this piano. You can learn to play and download digital sheet music just to name a few things.

The piano has 88 keys fully weighted - and feels like a piano- a good substitute for under $1000. Adding to the feel, Roland makes the keys feel like ivory too. The RP102 does not have many buttons to get other sounds but it uses the keyboard's keys and a button; which makes the piano look very simple and elegant - but also you can get extra sounds - with exercises- by using bluetooth connectivity to its Roland Piano Partner 2 mobile app ( Android or IOS).For connection to it includes a USB type B port, two headphone jacks - a 1/4 and a 1/8 standards and a USB to device type A; a great digital piano for those who do not want to spend more than a thousand in a real piano but something that sounds just like one.

I have owned other Roland gear before, and chose this based on the features and the Roland brand.
Positives: The piano sound is wonderful; very real and full. Keyboard feel is excellent; much better than others in the same price range. To get the most out of this piano, you really need the Piano Partner 2 app. It was easy to connect to my Android tablet and provides over 200 more sounds, a number of backing rhythms and songs and games to help you learn. The app description says that the Rhythms do not work with Android, but they do though the app is slow to respond when using them. The app also allows a lot of fine tuning of the piano sounds which is nice. The piano was well packaged and easy to assemble with no problems.
Negatives: The speakers could be a little louder, and some of the rhythms from the app are too loud.
Overall a wonderful piano especially for the price!

All I gotta say is WOW I owned a Yamaha and Kawai and decided to buy and try the Roland.And man does it blows both of them out the water the feel and sound is amazing sure its watts is a bit lower but other than that its way better in all aspects. The bluetooth feature is great too I'm definitely happy with my purchase and would recommended anyone to buy this piano.
