The sound is so pure and crisp. This electric set literally sounds better than 85% of the acoustic sets hands down!

Product Review
I have owned or used many electronic kits (Yamaha, Alesis, Kat, and Roland) for live performance and studio recording with a DAW. This is by far my favorite set and I reccommend it as a must-own if you are looking quality, durability, and affordability.
The TD4KPS contains great sounding kits that can all be tuned and dampened to your liking. The coach mode is a great feature that I use to practice warmups and keep my fills in time when practicing odd groupings and metric modulations. Other electronic kits lack the articulation we as drummers like about acoustic sets. The TD4KPS delivers the quality we long for as drummers on an electronic set. The pads distinguishes the velocity of the strokes played, making it great at articulating accented and non-accented notes. This feature also makes rolls sound realistic rather than midi-like when performed. And the best feature of all, you can roll and choke all the cymbals. Roland is thr brand to choose for electronic kits.

Your general opinion of this product.
I needed a drum kit for my home studio which has very limited space. The fact that this kit can fold down for storage was one of the main reasons that I purchased it.
For the most part the kit seems sturdy. I do have a minor issue with the way that the cymbal locks work as they move around a little with heavy playing, not a deal breaker for me.
These pads are more responsive than my previous pads which allow for better more natural dynamics. I will most likely add a mesh pad for the snare eventually.
The included module has a limited albeit decent array of kits. I currently have 3 kits that I really like, and with the midi out I can trigger the various hardware modules and software based samples that I use for recording.
I really like the simple black and white appearance of this kit. Nothing fancy, but it looks like everything belongs together.
The price is a little on the high side which is true of all Roland drums, but the fact that AMS offers the 3 easy payments plan takes some of the "bite" out of the purchase price and closed the deal for me.

Your general opinion of this product.
Exactly what i needed. A portable kit that I can use in small venues. Not to mention the ability to practice without being a bother to others.
Fairly sturdy for a "fold up portable kit" I personally think it does well.
It could use a few more features, but again, it's a portable kit that can FOLD UP!
The sound quality is good. Although i notice during fast patterns on the snare it begins to sound electronic, outside of that it's good
Really cool looking especially when folded.
I think for what you're getting the value is pretty good. Again, that brains could be a bit more extensive. Primarily because some of them are limited when you use midi, like cymbal choking and cross sticking
