Ive been a drummer well over 20+ years and for my tasted the sabian HHX Evolution cymbals see the best ive ever owned by far!!!!! Do yourself a favor and grab you a cymbal or 2 or 3!!!!!

This crash to me is a darker version of the
AAX-plosion fast crash. Depending on how you play it can be an aggressive crash but also a really warm crash. Very versatile and I highly recommend this one! Hope this helps!!

The HHX cymbals always created great cymbals.. the brilliant finish is an amazing cymbal because it looks great and you would think it would be a bright sound but it still has that warm sound the hhx cymbals always have. Love Sabian cymbals and the HHX series is still top notch

I’ve been playing sabian a products for over 15 years and I’ve never been disappointed. I love to mix and match the lines that sabian provides to define my sound. Sabian has played a major part in shaping my identity as a drummer. Ams is a great company that provides the working musician to play while they pay!

Really happy with this purchase. I wanted something that was musical with a lot of versatility and these completely fit the bill. Well-suited for a wide-variety of musical styles. I got them primarily for recording and so far, just recording a few test samples, I'm really happy with them. Not surprising coming from Sabian and Dave Weckl.

Your general opinion of this product.
I've just received my 17" HHX Evolution crash to replace a 16" Paiste sig full crash that served me well for many years but finally cracked. A lot of drummers talk about how well their crashes compliment each other. Well, I'm not like that. I like my crashes to differ from one another so I have other voices to choose from. Let me tell you that this HHX crash is really something special. It even does as I've read - opens up just by tapping on it with a finger. The response is so immediate even with a light stick hit. It has good volume & a penetrating cut for a thin cymbal. It's bright for an HHX too, but retains that beautiful tone they are known for. I have and had many crashes thru the years but nothing quite like this. The cool flashy finish completes this amazing cymbal.
