Firstly it's gorgeous. Second, after new strings and a set up the neck is perfect with very low action, wide fretboard, seamless neck pocket, and modern scale. Oh yeah and the neck is bound with beautiful pearloid blocks. Tuners stay in tune! Imagine that. The ABR1 style tailpiece with a very nice trapeze has all the right geometry to let the strings ring through the body unlike my 61 SG standard that costed 4X more! The FG 101 Duncan designed pickups are made in Korea by Woo Sung Chorus(who sell them under there company Roswell as the FG20) who make all D.D. pickups and are quality. There light pickups at 4.2k but I like that I have to dig in for some grit. It sounds and feels like a semi-hollow because under the foxtail pickguard and under the pickups it's roughted. I like the blender switch to back of the treble. I love this guitar?!

Needed some fret work out of the box. The frets stuck out the sides of the neck with sharp edges, not good.
After fixing that it was my dream guitar. All guitars should have the blender option to find that "just right" tone.
the neck feels great and the playability since the fix is wonderful.

VERY, VERY WELL BUILT INSTRUMENT WITH MANY AND I SAY MANY TONAL SOUNDS.THE ONLY GUITAR A PERSON WILL EVER NEED. ALLWAYS WANTED A SILVERTONE BACK IN THE OLD DAYS.IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.
