I bought one off a website that's named after a rainforest. Let's just say the quality wasn't great. This mic boom arm on the other hand is spectacular! I would recommend it if you are looking for a sturdy tool to hold your shock mount and microphone.

I bought this for my home podcast mics and it fits well on the edge of my workstation table. It's super sturdy and feels well made. Looks very nice and professional. The length is also perfect for both my mic setup. I have now used it for at least two weeks and feels like it's well built. The price was great and affordable.
The only advice I would give to all is, if it feels too stiff for you, then just use the special allen key and loosen it a bit. It may then reduce the maximum of 5 lbs. mic that you can put on it because when it is fully tight it can hold up to a 5 lbs. mic.
Overall, it's well worth the money and I would highly recommend this boom arm to anyone who is looking to get a good quality boom arm that's well made, and price is just right.

This is a very well made piece of equipment. It has 2 different ways to mount one is permanent the other is for mobile use. It is solid and should be able to hold up to allot of punishment.

Very happy with my new mic boom. I used the clamp first to see where I wanted to permanently mount it with the flange mount but decided to just leave it clamped. Very sturdy and looks great. I put it to where it felt most comfortable for me to sing into and now all I need to do is swing it away when not in use. Much better than using my mic stand because I have more room in my small home studio.

From the time that I have used it, it is very well built. The one stand out is the desk clamp. It is very heavy duty and gives plenty of room for all types of desks. The price point was great as I did research others at higher prices. I'm glad that I made the decision to go with the Samson.

Good for keeping the mic up and out of the way on a crowded desk. The base clamp doesn't work for every desk or table that I wanted to use it on, but it's pretty solid on most places once it's snugged down.
Has good "reach," and once locked in position, stays where I put it.

Thanks to American Music Supply. Once again I would have not been able to get these for my daughters who are recording artists. American Music Supply makes your dreams a reality. I got the microphones and the stand for both of my daughters and they love it. They can now record at home without spending money on recording studios.
