I’ve been looking for a sturdy boom mic stand for a while. I decided to give this one a try and it has hit the nail on the head. Loving how well it holds my heavy telefunken mic even when extended to its full capacity. The price is also awesome. I’ll probably buy a few more tbh.

For the price of this stand I didn’t expect much but it’s actually a pretty solid build and very compact. I got 4 of these for a live wedding band. There’s enough weight to support a larger mic. If I need more I’d definitely buy these again.

So far I have used an instrument mic and condenser mic with this and havent had to add a counterweight or encountered any other issues. I'm 6'2" and can still adjust the boom arm up to my mouth when recording vocals. The knobs tighten well and the stand is steady enough on the ground for most tasks. I'm happy with it.

I got these on a twofer deal, and set them up in my home studio with small condensers on them. I don't adjust them very often, and use a light touch when I do. They work fine, and you can't beat the price. I don't take them out gigging, but will use them as backup if needed.

I AM completely happy with my purchase. I bought 2 of these stands for $35.00 for the pair. They are rugged and sturdy, you won't have to worry about them falling over if the boom is fully extended. They were shipped quickly and I received them 4 days after I placed my order. I have placed several orders with AMS all ready this year and have never once had a problem with my gear or shipping.

I play in a traveling bluegrass band that plays (preferably) unplugged—mostly in microbreweries and taprooms. However, sometimes, when the beer gardens open up we need a little help... Since most of the space in the truck is taken up by bigger acoustic instruments, kilts, t-shirts, CDs, etc... we travel with small amps and a very small PA. When we do have to set the PA up, hauling compact mic stands just makes things so much easier at load-in and load-out. My favorite thing about these stands is simply that they’re full size stands which take up half the space of a regular full size stand when stowed away. They’re lightweight, yet rock solid on the gig keeping my mic exactly where it needs to be. Wish I’d have found these years ago!!

I’ve ordered 8 of these mic stands over the past year or so. They’re light, durable and serve the purpose well. They also seem to be offered on Two fer Tuesday regularly, so the price has always been right.
I use them for an open mic that I host and I’ve donated several to a local organization. I do not use them for our gigs simply because of the weight of the mics that we use. We use Shure Super 55s and these stands tilt too easily with weighty mics on them. This is the only reason that they got 4 instead of five stars. They will serve you well with mics similar to or lighter than Shure SM58s.

I’ve used a lot of mic stands in my day. These were an amazing value and as sturdy as they are versatile. Whether using for vocals or mixing instruments these will get the job done and save you money in the process. My only regret is I did not buy 2 more when I did.

This is definitely a compact stand, but should work fine for a person of average height. Not sure how it would hold up at full extension over a guitar pedalboard, and almost certainly wouldn’t work for a keyboard player, at least not the guys I play with. Build seems sturdy for the price. The mic clip is also very small, but is pretty flexible and fits very tightly on an SM58. If you’re the lead singer type who likes to remove and replace the mic a lot, make sure you have a bigger mic clip handy. None of these things I’ve mentioned are the reason for the one-star deduction, though, especially at this price. My deduction is because the boom cannot be removed for use as a straight stand. The boom is actually crimped onto the upper shaft of the base. I have a couple of Behringer P-1 personal monitoring boxes which I intended to mount on straight stands, since they really only need to be about chest height at most. I will still be able to use these stands, but I’d prefer not to have the booms attached, especially when loading out and trying to fit everything into a stand bag. Oh well, first world problems for sure, still a fine product.

Bought these to mic my guitar amps for youtube and instagram recordings. Fully adjustable, doesn't have any parts that rattle when near an amp, and solid enough.
Maybe a little flimsy for going out on tour and being used hard every night, but definitely good for the price for what I needed.

This is a nice little mic stand. It could get a little higher, but it serves its purpose just fine, considering that I am a short guy. I don't think this mic stand would get tall enough for people 6' or taller, not without their guitar bumping into it. But for short people like me, it's perfect!

This isn't the sturdiest mic stand available, but for the price, it's better than the cheaper mic stands. I enjoy the many options this stand can be configured in -- whether it's for standing performances, sitting performances or for putting a mic up to an amplifier-- this stand has been excellent and is still going strong after a few months of use.
