Product Review Great guitar, and the pickups and neck are first rate. V profile is great for ease of playing and the active pickups can be dialed in to exactly the tone you are looking for!

Product Review I owned a Music Man Luke. Loved it! Worst thing I ever did was sell it to a student! Played a sterling in a local retailer, couldn’t believe the feel was almost exactly like the big dog... bought it! Ordered the second one within a month. Pickups have great tone and sustain. Neck is fast, frets are smooth. Guitar does need some setup but not much... I set mine up with the trem floating like Lukather does. That may take a bit more skill to do but for me, worth the extra time. Love these guitars!!

Product Review This is a great/fantastic guitar for the price. Playability and set up out of the box was really very good. I tweak all my guitars to my personal preference but this is more than playable when it arrives. My only real complaint is the saddle screws are really and sharp and dig into my right hand. The pickups are fine but I'll probably end up changing them out at some point but not in a hurry. The neck is a tad wider than my EBMM version but only takes a minute or so to adjust to. The boost is awesome and this guitar just really sounds good. I lowered the action and put my 8-40 strings on it so had to adjust the action and intonation a bit. Very smooth roasted neck and zero fret sprout. Frets were finished really nicely. Overall, this is a really fantastic guitar and I have no problems gigging this piece of gear. I would definitely buy Sterling product again.

Product Review I really like the feel of this guitar. The neck is smooth and the finish is awesome as well. I especially love the boost function of the volume knob. It comes in handy for multiple songs. The guitar feels good and is not overly heavy. The neck shape itself is very comfortable.

Product Review I bought this guitar based upon my experience of playing a MusicMan LIII. This guitar plays very well. The sound is very full with plenty of bottom end. My only complaint is about the input jack. The jack was not installed correctly and it prevented the guitar lead from fully engaging the contacts within the jack. I managed to get that fixed before sending it back to AMS. I would recommend anyone to give this guitar a try. If you have short fingers like I do, you will appreciate the ergonomics on this guitar. I would recommend this guitar and AMS to anyone looking for a quality guitar under $1,000 USD.

Product Review I researched this guitar thoroughly, and compared several. One of the reviews I read made this argument. The Sterling product stands well on its own features, strengths, good design and craftsmanship. It is not like an Epiphone to Gibson, nor a Squire to Fender in bring simply cheaper look-alikes. My Sterling Luke LK100HH (Humbucker/Humbucker), is far more nearly as well-made as any of the Ernie Ball Music Man Parent Company products. I've owned both; often enough and long enough to be satisfied with BOTH at gigs or at home. If the gig is at a smokey, crowded club without a green room, or other lockup for my expensive instruments... I leave them home, and relax with my Sterling Luke's on stage, alongside my amps all night! Finally, one true test of build quality is how very well my Sterling Lukes remain in tune for hours of heavy playing with their standard feature locking tuners! Buy TWO-FER.

Product Review I bought this to replace the L3 I gave to my wife that she claimed as her's the moment she saw it. I waited till I saw the blueberry L100 for only $699. A huge savings from the $3,900 price tag of the 2011 L3. I do need to adjust the action A bit however I know how to so no problem here otherwise it is a great playing instrument that looks and sounds awesome and is a welcome addition to my collection of about 30 guitars encluding several Gibson's Fenders epiphones and many other's this holds it's own again all of them.

Product Review I was really looking forward to this instument. I own a handmade PRS,Gibsons and Fenders, but this was my first guitar with active electronics.First the sound. That did not disappoint. The transistion pickups are great. Second, it looked like a nicely built guitar. Thats wghere it stopped. The tremelo system sucks. The only way to secure the bar is to use the supplied allen wrench every time you use it. Even when tight there is still a little play. I also found that keeping in tune was a challenge. I never got to the point of using graphite,(or something) on the nut. You can literaly depress the bar fully on my PRS and grab the strings and pull them, and it comes back in tune. Not the case here. The fretboard and neck seemed "dry". It literally felt like it was "scratching" If had had kept this I would recommend a fretboard conditioner or rubbing the neck. The dealbreaker was the volume pot. On the first guitar, the "push on push off" boost quit working. I exchanged the instrument with about the same report as the first. After about 3 weeks the signal started breaking up. I initially thought there was an issue with my Marshall, only to discover it was once again an issue with the volume pot. At this point I quit putting myself through the frustration, and returned it. There are apparantly other players that feel this is a great instrument for the buck. I went off those. I hope if you buy this it works out much better for you. I must say, AMS is a great company to deal with and were with me, and stood behind their sale throughout the entire ordeal.

Product Review Aside from the great price, the Sterling series delivers all the psychical & tonal traits of higher end expensive hand made instrument. Amazing neck, great action & hidden bonus features like the volume boost! Now a proud owner of a few these Sterling models. Don’t hesitate, buy one! If you like their USA builds, you’ll love these! Cant say enough, try one now!!
