I think the first thing that draws most people to this guitar is beautiful Burl top, and after unpacking the guitar was that it’s twice as beautiful in real life as it is on the site.
Of course, this wouldn’t matter if it didn’t play well, and let me tell you, as gorgeous of an instrument as it is, it plays even better than it looks. The Ultra-Thin C neck is one of the fastest and smoothest necks I’ve ever gotten to play. The setup from the factory was absolutely spot on as well. Almost still in perfect tune. Within 3 minutes of opening the box it played like a guitar I’ve owned for years and spent time setting up.
The pickups are very versatile as well. They do great with high gain metal tones, and the coil split allows you to get those “dumble” bell tones as well. Especially out of the neck pickup. The coil split middle position might produce the best dual humbucker clean tones I’ve ever gotten out of a factory setup.
All in all, they could add $200 to the price tag of this guitar and it would still be worth every penny. If you’re on the fence about getting one, I promise you won’t be disappointed if you get it.

Standout features include an awesome finish, smooth feel
on neck, the finishing on the frets superb.
Love the contour reverse headstock.
From sweet to full punchy metal this guitar is ready for anything you can put it through, rivaling many more expensive guitars with similar options.
Better than expected, as with most Schecter models.

I'm just an average player, and love all styles of guitar, but this caught my eye in recent years, and so glad I went with my gut based on looks because this is an epically well-balanced guitar for many styles of play; quality of manufacture is top notch from Schecter and the set up from AMS out of the box was very good.

I have been playing 30+ years. This guitar came setup and plays great. One of the best guitars I have played in 15 years. The finish, fret work and sound is so good. It is perfect. It is on par with a $2000 Ibanez. If you wants a great looking and sounding guitar this one is a must buy.

I can’t stop bragging about this guitar. The Ultra Thin C neck is the MOST COMFORTABLE NECK I HAVE EVER PLAYED!! I can’t put this guitar down. All my other guitars have been collecting dust. In fact I LOVE this guitar so much I will be getting the FR-S one as well! THANK YOU AMS for making it easy as always ! If this one is on your list be warned you just might not put it back down. My friend has a Reaper and I played it and was blown away how thin the neck is and comfortable - I had to have one.
I bought the Inferno burst model and this thing is amazing - beautiful fit and finish - instant shred able out of the box!
I have owned over 60 guitars and this one outplays them all - plus with the 5 way switch and split coils - I can sound like anything I want

I’m already biased when it comes to Schecter. I’ve been proudly playing them for over 10 years. My tried and true C-1 Elite unfortunately was stolen from me and I’ve been trying to replace it since. Enter the Reaper-6. Fast neck, beautiful ebony fretboard and the schecter proprietary pickups are pretty hot. Love the coil tap option as well. Stays in tune fairly well out of the box. I plan on getting it set up and slapping on some locking tuners. I digress.. it’s an amazing and versatile guitar. If you are hesitant at all with getting it don’t be! You won’t regret it. The guitar is a metal monster. From slick flat neck to the hot as fire pickups, there nothing left to make you a metal warrior than the fire from your fingertips. From the moment I picked it up it became a favorite among giants. Highly highly recommend.

Schecter has really turned it around these last few years, and this guitar really proves that. The neck is thin and sleek. The guitar looks and plays awesome. Reverse headstock, ebony fretboard, the coil split pickups. This is a workhorse of a guitar. It's also not just for metal, the tones you can get from the stock pickups work for any genre. I would highly recommend getting this guitar.

This guitar is amazing. It plays like a guitar twice its price. The neck is thin and super fast. The finish is outstanding. The ebony fretboard is nice and familiar to other string instruments. The pickups sound great and the single coil pull pot is a nice addition. This guitar was ready to play out of the box.I am very happy with this guitar and would recommend it to anyone who wants a solid,great sounding instrument.

The quality and craftmanship of this guitar is flat out awesome. I could not find any flaws. The fret work is dead on and the satin finish is very even and smooth. The burel top is very thin, but it looks great anyway. The stock pickups are good but I swapped the bridge out with a Duncan Pegasus. One of the things that surprised me in a very good way. Is the direct mounted pickups are not just screwed into the wood. Schecter actually used brass inserts pressed into the wood so the direct mount pickups are using machine screws to fasten them. You don't even see this done in high end expensive guitars. The guitar is very sold and feels very expensive, not a cheap impression at all. I expect some flaws and cost cutting measures on Indonesian guitars, but on this one, there were none. I am beyond very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to buy another one again. I have had it for just about a week and am extremely happy with it. Sounds great to BTW.

I've owned 3 Reapers. I keep selling one to buy a higher-priced guitar and think I'm upgrading, but nothing plays and feels like the Reaper. I have sold two and have come back to the Reaper repeatedly. I think I have learned my lesson and have no plans to sell my latest one... The neck is EXTREMELY comfortable to play and the pickups are the best import pickups I've ever played and I would say they rival American made Seymour's and Dimarzio's in tone, and response. Also another reason why this guitar is amazing is you never have to wipe fingerprints off (of course I wipe the strings off though).

Only issue is a slight buzz on the "A"string but I've bought brand new guitars costing over twice as much with far worse issues! Pickups rip through a 6505 plus! Set up is excellent. You can tell the tech cared about what he/she was doing. First Indonesian "shred" guitar and wont be my last! AMS makes it easy!

I am very happy to have the Schecter Reaper 6 in my arsenal of guitars, it does rock and metal very great with ease but it's not a one trick pony it covers any style music you want to throw at it. It plays awesome for its price range and is a gorgeous guitar its surpassed every doubt I had before getting it and went way beyond! This guitar is still impressing me. I'd been away from Schecter guitars for a while but so glad to have gotten this one it's a very sleek, elegant monster of a guitar and wont disapoint you.

Such an amazing guitar. No problems at all! Minor setup since I use custom strings but it sings beautifully both clean and with full of gain!
-Decimator pickups just cut notes with knives!
they also sound great coil tapped for solos and even clean tones if you want to switch the music up.
-smooth satin body and neck provides an amazing ability to glide across the neck and look sexy doing it.
-the tuning heads make it easy to keep in tune no matter what your style of playing is and even in drop tune.
-24 frets with an amazing neck joint and beautifully body make it elegant and worthy of the best riffs
if you do not buy this guitar.. Just know you are missing out.

I'm loving the pickups, great variety of tones.
I wasn't sure I was going to like this, but I'm glad I purchased it. It's a great addition to my collection.

I personally only own Schecter guitar’s. I was finally ready to purchase a higher in model something that was be good for the studio as well as live performance. I found the Schechter reaper six. The price had gone down from $999 to $699 which made it all that much better. It literally took me two weeks to decide on the color because all three are beautiful. I ended up getting the charcoal burst. But this thing is so nice that I may get another in a different color. If you play hard rock or metal, and you want it guitar that is top quality With excellent tone for under $1000 you absolutely cannot go wrong. And with the payment plan it really was a win-win

I was a bit nervous about getting another Indonesian made guitar, but this one is fantastic. It is very versatile. I usually play metal and rock, but the clean tones are so good I've been playing a lot of blues and acoustic music with it. The body is flawless. It's gorgeous. I'm in love with it and for $700 it's a steal.

This really is a great guitar for the money. This is my second Schecter guitar and I've been very pleased. There were hardly any reviews on the Reaper series so I was a little worried buying online. AMS and Schecter hit a homerun. The finish is absolutely beautiful. The guitar was setup great with no fret buzz. The neck is so smooth and easy to play. I love the bridge humbucker the most, but the neck sounds very deep and mellow. I'm very pleased with the purchase and would recommend this guitar to anyone.
