Product Review I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, so I am a very picky when I buy a new instrument. Generally if I like it and I know I can work with I buy. sometime I do buy something that needs little work to get it to my liking. This Schecter Sun Valley Super Shedder was an exception, everything I would like to make it ideal was done already, like no tine knob and stainless steel hardware on the Floyd Rose it even came with a brass block so no need to change that. Ernie Ball 10-46 string are my favorite so all I did was re-tune to 432hz for A and drop D. this guitar plays and sounds fantastic and it know my #2 favorite. Excellent fit and finish down to properly dressed frets. Over all it is a great guitar for the money. I was lucky to get one in Lambo Orange. I am very happy with this guitar from Schecter and AMS help me get one.

Product Review For 600.00 most would not expect much from a guitar made overseas. But the quality and fit and finish rivals 1000.00+ guitars. These super shredders are made for Schecter at the South Koren factory known for some of the best guitars made and the same is true for this guitar. The fretwork is very good, finish and hardware is of good quality. The Floyd Rose special is adequate and I upgraded it to the big brass block from Floyd rose. The push in tremolo arm is also a nice touch instead of the threaded collared ones that always have play in them. The two way adjustable truss rod wheel at the bottom of the neck is very nice. The EMG Retro Active 77 pickups do the job, but aren't my favorite. I will probably drop in a set of Fluenece pickups later down the road. But for a "Super Strat" you really can't go wrong. I have owned the Super Starts made by other competitors that are made in Mexico and the Sun valley Super-shredder is not only a few hundred dollars cheaper, but overall a better guitar.

Product Review I've owned several super-strats over the years. Jackson, Kramer, Ibanez, and Washburn. This is my first Schecter. So far, I am very happy with every aspect of this guitar. The quality and features vs price tag is phenomenal, but the real payoff is the sound. The EMG Retroactives have even more range and character than the 81/85 combo I've always favored. I also love the dual volume controls. I've never had much use for tone pots. This is a great shred guitar and a great guitar in general.

Setup required

Product Review This is a killer guitar, but its setup from the factory is terrible. I'll list the bad first. 1) When I went to tune the guitar, the strings popped out of the clamps on the trem. 2) Got that sorted and the bride was way off the body. 3) Once I got it tuned up with the bridge in a better position, the action was very high further down the neck and the intonation is off quite a bit especially on low E, so I have taken it to my luthier for a setup. Good Even with all the bad, this guitar plays and sounds great for the purpose I bought it. It should play like butter once I get it back. I never thought I'd own a Schecter, but I would buy another now. My main axe is a 2008 Les Paul Standard, and my second go to is my 2014 American Deluxe Stratocaster. I got this for an Ozzy tribute band. My Les Paul will cover the Sabbath, and this thing will cover most of the Ozzy stuff. I learned "Shot in the Dark" on it, and the intro I can do without harmonics thanks to the 24 frets. I'm actually missing the guitar right now while it is at the luthier :(

Product Review I was considering this guitar in Lambo Orange and a Charvel Pro mod So-Cal and I went with the Schecter because I liked the electronics and the color (and the price...$629 vs $899). I'm SO glad I went this route. This guitar is amazing; it sounds and plays wonderfully, the color looks even better in person, and best of all I saved almost $300 and received a guitar that's just as good if not better than the Charvel I was considering. If you're on the fence about this model do yourself a favor and at least check it out and play one...you won't be disappointed.

Product Review I have many Schecter's. All of which are top tier Korean models and two USA models. That being said... This guitar is the best playing and the best quality out of all of them. I don't know if I got lucky with mine or if they are all this great. I love this thing so much I ordered another as well as a PT model it. Hoping they are the same quality. For this price, I'm probably going to order every colorway they have. I am blown away by this guitar. If you are comparing this to a Charvel? Don't my Charvels don't anything on this guitar, not even the USA model. All the mid-tier Charvels feel super cheap and were put together with no care. This guitar is what Charvel used to be and should be.

Product Review This guitar plays like a dream! I wanted a strat that was modified for metal and looked at charvel for a long time but my heart kept leading me back to the super shredder. Set up was perfect out of the box. The neck pick up is smooth as butter. This thing handles cleans as well or better than distortion. Pick ups are got just enough heat on them for recording not too hot or too cold and perfectly balanced. Haven't had a need for a multi band compressor when mixing palm muted riffs. If I had anything less than stellar to say about it I guess it would be that it could hold tuning better but even that is most definitely managable. The neck lends itself to speed. Hardware is built too last. If your looking for a great rock or metal guitar without breaking the bank this is it. I can't say enough good about it or American musical. You guys rock!

Product Review Fit and finish is good. Was a little worried about not having a tone control, but all you need to do is back off the volume of either pickup to adjust. The EMG’s are clean in the signal chain. Great for rock/blues & metal. Glad I made the purchase.

Product Review I was looking for something with an 80’s vibe and a Floyd Rose but not pointy. I almost bought something more expensive but decided that for the price this was worth a shot. When I received the guitar I was pleasantly surprised. The setup was good and overall the guitar is comfortable to play. The EMG pickups are hot but, I like these better than the 81/85 combo. Haven’t had any problems with the neck going out of adjustment and the hardware is solid. Overall it’s a great guitar for players who want something that shreds but don’t want to break the bank. I repair guitars for a living and I am picky so, I didn’t give it 5 because it isn’t boutique or high-end American quality however, I will say it is one of the better import guitars on the market.

Product Review Fantastic instrument! I own 20 electric guitars, including Music Man, Gibson, and Fenders, and for the money this instrument can't be beat! Fretboard edges are smooth and the frets ends are well dressed. I play through a Mesa Mark V 35, Top Hat Emplexador, and Bugera 1990. The pickups are fantastic through all these amps at any gain setting. Overall output is balanced and bass output is strong, so backing off the low end on the amps is recommended to prevent things from getting muddy. Some cost cutting is expected, like the pickguard, but Schecter put the money where it counts! This is probably the best value I've seen in a solid body!

Product Review This guitar plays great, the Floyd is nice and the neck has a fuller Strat feel to it, thicker than a Wizard neck. I took off a star for the pickups - they sound great for the high strings, but the low frequencies were muddy and dull. Replace them with electronics of your choice, and it's an immensely fun instrument to play!

Product Review Brand new, the neck pickup didnt work. Got it fixed, and the ground noise was so bad I cant use it. It plays great, a lot like my Charvel, but I think it's a lemon.

Product Review If you like rock and metal or even blues. This guitar will not let you down. EMG p/u's sound great. Finish is flawless. Action is very nice right out of the box. Well worth it for a little over 6 bills.
