I got this with my Shure SM7B, and honestly I'm really impressed. I was worried that I would have to get a cloudlifter, but I think this did the job and more, but with a better price tag. Works great at making the SM7b sound perfect at about 11 o'clock gain with my focusrite scarlett solo. 100% would recommend this to people looking for a similar budget set up.

You get a lot of gain boost with this. Clean and super clear. Great if your preamp is maxed out to provide the volume you want. Start with the gain all the way down and go from there.

Had 2 of these and they just stop working after a few days! Bought for a Shure SM7B and run into a Tascam mixer with Mogami cable. Not abused at all! Very disappointing! Replacing with Cloud CL-2

I decided to try the DM-1 based on some online reviews and the fact that I wanted to see if I could save $50 (the cloudlifter is about 50 bucks more). Using this with an SM-7, and it does what it says it does. Boosts the output tremendously with no added noise. Made my SM-7 come alive! Well worth the 99 bucks. I ordered late in the day on a Tuesday and got it the next day (thx AMS!).
