Easily one of the best Tom microphones ive used, i barely have to eq it to get great sound out of it as it sounds great out of the box. Combine that with being low profile and lightweight, you cant beat it. Id highly recommend and will be buying again as needed.

I have wanted these for awhile and finally got my hands on some. After a month of use with multiple bands recording live sets, these mics were exactly what I was hoping they would be. They have done well on all toms and snare's I have mic'd them with. I like the punch, clarity, and performance achievable with these.
The packaging, bag, and overall build are very solid. These have taken some hits from some drummers but they didn't let down at all. I highly recommend this to folks doing live sound or recording. Ease of mic setup but confidence in recording performance.

These have a super clear and reliable sound. I use them on my toms, and have not been disappointed. Also, the mounts are great, I have practiced for hours with them on and they are in the exact position as when I put them on months ago.

I bought these mics for my acoustic drums and percussion instruments. They are easy to use, easy to place around the drum set and the sound is phenomenal. They give a perfect reflection of how I want my drums to sound. Great low end and driving mids and high end without all the feedback of cheaper microphones. The only thing missing now is the matching kick drum microphone I will be ordering next week. Thanks AMS for helping me with this and every order I've ever placed with you

Bought these for a last minute session. My only previous experiences working with these was a live setting. I want very impressed at the time. But after recording them a few times in various drums, I'm really happy with how it turned out. They are small and can be used in multiple areas of the kit which comes in handy with the inevitable drummer refusing to move his cymbals and getting pissed like you just insulted his mother. You know the guy.
Anyway, the mics have a solid frequency range that accents toms in a very pleasing way. Snares, I tend to use them more on the deeper models. The piccolo and other thinner models sound a bit pingy for me. I'll be eagerly trying them on guitar cabinets this weekend. Perhaps bass too.
Good price. Good buy.

These mics are unmatched for the rich and deep tom sound that I expect. They are able to pick up a wide range of frequencies and only pick up the sound from what they are pointed at. I have not noticed any muddiness or crossover from other mics. If you need a mic kit for your toms, look no further.

Very smooth mic! Somewhat close to a 421. Using it on toms at the moment. Doesn’t have the bite a 57 has on a snare but sounds good nonetheless!

I have been using these mics for years and they have never let me down. Easy to attach (don't have to worry about S-Rings or other difficult hardware) and great sounding; definitely a must for live drums.

I own a Production Company with multiple crews and all my mic kits have a set of three e604's or e904's.
These are awesome for micing tom's and snare.
They clip onto all standard hoops and even some conga's.
They're compact so they out of the drummers strike zone.
They are tough so they can handle a hit or two and still sound great.

As its being used as a snare mic, I've smacked it quite a few times in 3 weeks and it still works fine. Was a little put off by the plastic mount, but its fine. Nice knurled adjustment knob.
sounds great, and the shell mounting clip is nice and simple.
I'm still learning, but its super easy to mount. Really easy to adjust the angle and therefore the sound you get. manual was actually helpful too.
Sounds great. Not that theres a great drummer that it's recording, but I really like the snare sound this mic gives with little adjustment.

easy to find the sound your looking for and it has good rejection of bleed through.
the product is great, except the fact that i never got my mics in a box and no manuals. i had some problems with american music supply on this one.

Your general opinion of this product.
I use this mic for a djembe, and it works perfectly. I would love to have more, but I find the cost a bit high. Still, it's an excellent sounding mic, capturing both high and low end of my playing. Good choice for recording live stuff.

Your general opinion of this product.
I have used these mics. for a couple of years now on my drum kit. They work great, sound real good and are very durable. I bought the packaged set so cost was not bad. My only knock is that I can’t find another mount for them besides the clip. They come apart but there are no options to the current type mount. Still I use them all the time and they work great all in all. The live sound company’s I work with like them too…
NOTE: The Audix D-Clamp and D-Vice mounting clamps are wonderful for mounting the E604 mics.
