I bought these to put in a LP studio as I was looking for a P90 guitar. These are perfect. The lows are tight, no mud in the mid/low end. The highs are clear with being like an ice pick in your ears. I think the Gibson P90s are darker, these are clearer. They drive my tubes beautifully, but also clean up really well. If you’re looking P90, don’t think you have to buy a guitar with them. Swap these into a humbucker guitar and let there be rock!!

Added these pickups to my main custom-built guitar and they really added to not only the tone I was looking for but also added a punch to my soloing as well as my rhythms. My Jazz tones have a nice smooth creamy sound and to drive tones are up front and in your face. Thanks AMS & Seymore-Duncan.

Very easy to install. I personally like to have my set dimed, so every last drop of the incredible tone they produce goes to the preamp. Not for extreme forms of aggressive death metal. But other than that these pickups are versatile enough to recreate any desired tone, sound, feel and emotion. I even managed to recreate a cello tone and sound with these pickups and my Boss Katana.

Put these in a Chris Shiflett Tele Deluxe. The original humbuckers were too muddy sounding for my tastes. I like single coils and wanted something lower output.
Read a few reviews and listened to samples of these online and thought I'd give them a try, glad I did. This is now my #1 guitar. Cleans up nice, gets dirty when needed. There is some 60 cycle hum but I don't mind it, that's just part of having P90s.

I installed these phat cat pickups in my Epiphone SG. First, you can’t go wrong with Seymour Duncan. Second, these pups opened up my SG and let her sing! Do yourself a favor and rip out the old electronics!

I installed these on the Ibanez AS-53 TF I got from AMS too and what a killer tone I'm getting now for blues and rock !
If you want P-90's but have an cavity for humbuckers these are just the thing you need ! Thanks AMS for making this combination affordable for me to own with your 0%

These are great in my 2001 SG standard. Never liked the 490/498's that came in it, these are perfect and easily hit the sweet spot.
