I'll start with I'm a huge fan of pickups with alnico v magnets so going into this I wasn't too worried. I started upgrading all of my guitars to Fishman's which are great in their own right but I was missing that "texture" of passive pickups. These filled that void. Very well balanced from chimey cleans to saturated gain. No notes missing from big chords and very good string separation and attack. Going back from active pickups to these moderate output passives reminded me I had to push the amp more to get output but man.. They sing when you do! Low end is tight and high end isn't harsh. If this review sounds like your type of situation, buy them!!

The biggest thing in buying these pickups was a change in tone I have used The JB$ and 50 set up in most of my guitars so I was looking to change that and get a lil more aggressive and I hoped that these pickups would get me there at first I wasn't too happy with this set I had used them in a few shows and they just weren't delivering. But I added some different EQ settings and replaced my drive pedal and bam they came to life and did more than I was hoping for so I ended up keeping them in and just using them in my final set when we hit hard at the crowed they are clear and crisp and handle my EVH very well.

I threw this set into my 2019 PRS SE Zach Myers and it’s was a night and day difference versus the stock pickups. My guitar instructor was amazed by the output and clarity coming from the Pegasus/Sentient set!!!

I was unhappy with the SD TB4 and SH2 in my Jackson Rhoads RR1. Then I installed the Pegasus/Sentient combo and found the tone I had been searching for all these years.
