This is easily one of the best passive humbucker pick ups you can buy today! A must have at this price! Replaced a stock "esp" pick up with this one and really brought a clearer tone.

Paired this with the Sentient neck pickup and, together, they make an awesome sounding pair. The Pegusus retain clarity under high gain and the Sentient just sings!!!

This pickup reminds me of the Dimarzio Breed pickup which is now discontinued. This is a little more balanced in the mids however which is nice. The output is moderate but not high output, but it definitely is a modern sounding pickup. It is very clear and articulate but not harsh and the top end is thick and smooth. Works very well with high gain amps. I have three of these pickups in my guitars and they seem to work very well with many different wood types, Mahogany, Ash and Alder. I have had this pickup in another guitar for over a year and still really like it, thus the reason I purchased another. For a great no too over the top pickup that seems to work in many different applications, this can't be beat.

Finally found the right sound for the low, low notes. Easy install. Perfect amount of gain, not too much makes it boost and attack pedal-friendly.
If you tune to B or lower and don’t want your notes lost in the downtuned mud, this is a great bridge pick up.

Had this in a PRS Custom 24, and it was punchy and clear. Tight low end if you down tune. Great sparkly cleans. Highly recommended if you’re a modern metal player looking for good cleans, an articulate punchy rhythm tone, and cutting leads.

This pickup is amazing. I play complex chords, and the Pegasus really helps push them through without muddiness. I only gave 4 stars because this was my first time soldering, and it was a complete pain.
